Pearce is a mong and I was wrong too, however the future of international football for England could be good with some of those young Manchester United kids coming through but Pearce/Capello will screw them up.
-
But I do find it bad saying to one class defender we don't want you as we are going for someone else but he has a bad ankle, it's bad which ever way you look at it! It's just out of character of Cortese because the guy is clicked on.
-
So we messed up with Gorkks by trying to get Fontaine instead, seriously now are we really that stupid to mess up a good option for someone with a known ankle injury? Perhaps we went for Fontaine knowing it was going to fail and that it was a way of saying to another team that if you don't except our bid for your CB we will go elsewhere? It does not add up somehow and I still hold on to the thought we will get our good CB in from whoever because it was a good offer we made them in the first place.

Well that's alright then! To keep this thread going why Oxy as bench warmers should not be allowed in.
-
I see the squad has been picked as that Lallana has not been included. This is why the lower league players go to the bigger clubs as it helps them get in the England setup. Oxy is included, now that's a ****ing joke. To be honest I have not heard of 10 of the players and I can say Lallana is a class above them.

BCFC will say he turned us down while he failed a medical, apparently he turned up in crutches with his ankle in a plaster cast, he said to the medical team it was just a scratch and can he sign the papers please!
-
We know he failed it but BCFC are saying he turned us down to get the fans back on his side.
-
Will be a cover up to protect him I expect.
-
Not agree terms as he is not interested in what we had to offer.
-
Heard the deal is off from a text!
-
Perhaps we are doing a medical for BCFC to find out what is causing his bad ankle as part of the Maynard deal as they can't afford professional medical advice or we are planning to buy him just to confuse Dave Merrington? Seriously a strange one but we need to trust the club on this one I guess.

My excuse is I work nights 4 times a week and my body won't let me sleep more than 2 hours at the times, I'm constantly tired! would have would have and would have
-
You telling me that you would of noticed him if he had walked past? Don't think so!

This was probably the deal we had sorted out before Oxy was sold, I remember being told it was done and dusted with the player agreeing to join us once the other team get a replacement. IMHO we probably pulled out of this deal 3 odd weeks ago after we sold Oxy knowing a better option is available to us now we have the money. Who is this guy? I honestly don't see it being Fontaine as that is agent talk, our man (whoever it is) will come in as a great surprise to us all and should take us to the next level as that makes more sense.
-
It's called holding your nerve to get the best price for Bristol City. If rumours are correct that West Ham, Leicester and Saints are interested then they will sell him to the highest bidder a day before this transfer window closes. It would not surprise me If Bristol City bring in a few deals themselves afterwards knowing they have the money coming in.
-
Janki, Baldock, Goryks, Fontaine, Jay Rod, Maynard & Waghorn? Somehow Saints will not bring all those players in, probably not any of them as IMHO it's agent talk or Saints putting out feeders to keep the press away from the real targets? We have some serious money available and the club are sitting pretty on top of the league, Are Adkins and Cortese going to sign someone that's going to blow our minds and take us to the next level? I reckon we are in for a big surprise as it's gone too quiet from the club lately.
-
IMHO Lambert has had one very good game, I would not say it's been great with the other matches, I admit he has held the ball up well and passes it about like the rest of them but he is not that person who can beat the last man with pace If we had a break away. That's what we are lacking only.
-
Just a thought. With the rumour of this guy coming in something does not add up. With a couple of agents talking us up after some big rumoured bids and hearing about how Saints are outbidding LCFC on some of their targets, then it might suggests we are looking to bring in yet another striker with Waghorn? Perhaps Adkins is worried whether Lambert will not be able to cut it in this league while someone like Jay Rod will.
-
I was going to add something about that this morning but I thought people would start jumping on my back. Richardson on Saturday was not calm enough for me, often let the crosses conme over and gets beaten for pace too often. When the passing game is going so well you would see him looking nervous to keep it going at times which resulted in the odd hoof pass!
-
I know where you are coming from but you need to remember that every promotion the team achieves is a payrise for all the players. I would love Sturridge (class) as he will make them even better players. IMHO All these new deals the current players are signing is because of the new wage bracket, Hammond and Fonte have not signed yet which suggests it's in the pipeline or the terms are not what they want?
-
I always said we have two deals agreed and this week the transfer movement will be in full swing. QPR takeover finally happens and we get our CB, Leicester get a striker at last and we get Wagthorn (does not inspire me but maybe he's a back up striker for Barnard) That really does still leave us with a good 12million in the kitty, do we go for one BIG loan deal or do we finally nail a top top striker to push us on? IMHO I would test Bristol City with a 5m bid or nail a class Premiership loan deal which would cost us 2million for the year.... Yakubu? Holt?
-
Perhaps there might be some truth in the Wagthorn rumour a month ago as Lcfc have been after a replacement for ages.

I believe Jan Poorvelt got close?
