The way I look at this is people love these games as it's a chance to get one over our locals. I know a few guys from my workplace that are going and have not done so for a few years now. I personally know they are not trouble makers but they enjoy the banter between the barriers/stewards/police because they know they won't get hurt. Once out the ground they would walk home happy without even wanting to look for trouble. That's 99% of the supporters on Saturday who are like this while the very small minority ruin it for the others by taking it one step too far.

Why not play Millwall first half and then Pompey second half to give them a chance to be fresher.

Got talking to a steward last night and the 'head' steward is gunning for W******d because he got off lightly from the urine incident. They can't stop his arrival for the Saturday game which is a shame really. What ideas or suggestions can we help them with to see if they can make it a hattrick in throwing him out! There are plenty of managers that get results in our league with so much less. The one worried I have had for a few years now is when we buy a great player they start off so well and then they turn average. Noting Hammond here and my fears are Puncheon/forge too, we miss the George Prost method of coaching I guess

Cortese is fair on what he made public on Solent, If the team was playing well and was unlucky with results then patience would be the word. Struggling against teams like Exeter by producing another lame performance is not good enough. On our recent performances since the beginning of December, I fear Cortese is worried it will continue next season. Another worry Cortese should have is, IF we go out the F A cup then our gates will drop to 15k because the fans know we won't reach the playoffs.

Reading the guardian article this morning tells me that Pardew is under pressure to deliver now because NC and ML are not in this for fun. Come on Pardew no more excuses about another draw and get '****ing' stuck in for 3 points.

I'm with you Fitzhugh on this, I know a manager should be given time but when you are winning games quite easily around October and November and then a constant struggle since then and yet he has brought in about 2 million of talent, you would expect even more improvements on the performances.

We was ****e at millwall so let's hope we get our usual 3-1's back. IMHO I would prefer Jaidi with Fonte so that they can start to form a good partnership. 3-1 me thinks with a Barnard double and a lallana wonder goal.
