I am surrounded by them at St Mary's. "Just get the bloody thing forward" then we smash it up the pitch and give it straight back to the opposition almost every time.

Yep and also our problem this season has been a lack of decent ball playing defenders. Bednarek, Salisu aren't great at passing and I wasn't wholly convinced by ABK either. Lyanco tended to just try and play long passes that never came off. If we employ a possession based manager like Russell Martin we will certainly need a couple of CB's who are more comfortable on the ball. At least Bazunu is excellent at passing - he just needs to work on saving the bloody thing!

Totally agree.

I will be sad to see him go. His dead ball ability is world class and he has one hell of an engine on him. He puts in 100% every week and that's more than can be said for a number of our other players. Having said that I don't think he will be a massive loss to the team. As has already been mentioned, in possession he slows us down way too much and really lacks that spark/dynamism to get the team going.

Watch us go and get 2 or 3 results now we are down. I think that would actually annoy me more than going out with 3 defeats.

Agreed. Everton haven't improved in terms of quality of play but he's certainly improved their attitudes. This season that could be enough to keep a team up. Sadly we don't have the right attitude or the quality, hence why we are going down.

Looking at their fixtures, I think Leeds are stuffed.

I think we have a great chance if we use our "play stoppers" to their full effect. A front 4 of Walcott, Adam Armstrong, Elyounoussi and Moussa Djenepo will completely nullify them from source and Forest won't be able to get out of their own half. Another Selles masterclass on its way and as he said - we will fight tooth and nail until the bitter end.

Bednarek, S.Armstrong, Sulemena and Alcaraz were all decent - as soon as those 3 went off we looked utterly clueless. The team needed Che Adams on so much earlier. We were dropping very deep yet had no one up top to relieve the pressure. So what does the manager do? Brings on A.Armstrong who couldn't trap a bag of cement. Honestly it seems as if Selles has a rather large amount of money on us to go down.

I genuinely think we were saveable after we got rid of Jones. We were only 3 points off safety. Selles has come in and somehow managed to make us worse. I'm not actually sure how that is possible. We've made two of the worst managerial appointments in our history within the space of 4 months. It's incredible really.

Lavia doesn't seem to have a problem playing forward passes. JWP is a "safe" player. In my opinion Romeu and Lavia have held our midfield together over the last few years. JWP is decent but that's all IMO. It'll be a shame when he goes but I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it.
