Looks like he's settling in well

Who Do We Choose To Ship Out This Summer?

Disagree with this. Targett has a nosebleed every time he gets towards the opponents half and hasn't convinced me with his defending either. I think McQueen is a very decent back up. -

Taylor, Gazzaniga, Gardos, Targett, Martina, Clasie, Reed (loan), Isgrove, Rodriguez. All not good enough IMO. -
Bring Caceres in for Stephens - I think we can knick a point.
-
I'm predicting a 10th placed finish. Obviously the EFL cup run was fantastic but the European debacle and average performance so far in the league has been disappointing. I do expect us to kick on again next season however (If we keep Van Dijk and add a CM & CB)
-
If he is not fit he should not be playing, it is as simple as that. We signed a back up in January so how about we use him..
-
His movement is top top class. We've been lacking a striker like him for a long time now. Austin is a decent finisher but doesn't possess the same movement or technique that Gabbiadini does.
-
Hassen Cedric Caceres Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Davis JWP Tadic Redmond Gabbiadini Subs: Forster, Stephens, McQueen, Hojbjerg, Boufal, Sims, Long.
-
Good point
-
Forster Cedric Yoshida Bertrand McQueen Davis Romeu PEH Gabbi Long Tadic Close call between Tadic and Redmond. I'd play Bertrand CB to combat the pace and movement of Defoe as Stephens struggled to stick with Carroll last weekend. PEH in midfield to make up for a lack of height. I'm not convinced about him, JWP or Clasie to be honest but one of them has to play.

Seems like he's been doing very well for Walsall and their fans love him. Would like to see him and Gallagher back in the fold for next season.
-
Complete non story really. Happened back in October anyway, not sure why it's only being reported on now.
-
If we let him go then it'll just about sum up Les Reed this season.
-
I think Jack Stephens provides a like for like replacement for Wanyama in the front sweeper role.
-
Agree with this. Clasie, Ward Prowse and Hojbjerg have all been given a chance to fill that role and none of them have been good enough yet.
-
He is a very good defender, the obvious issue is the fact he hasn't played for god knows how long. You'd imagine he wouldn't be up to speed until March, thankfully we only have 1 league game until then.
-
He should do the right thing and come out and hold his hands up for the shambles this season. I know we are in a cup final but that's papering over the cracks massively. Appointed a very average manager. No striker signed in the summer. Mane not adequately replaced. No centre back signed in January. Regularly misleading the fans. Have you noticed how if a player or manager leaves the club it is always "their own doing" and that the club is completely blameless. As for this #wemarchon and black box guff. Don't get me started on that.
-
Yep time for Puel to go. A whole new management team is needed.
-
Forster just doesn't do the basics of goalkeeping correctly. He's gone backwards very quickly. Needs to be dropped ASAP.
-
This is sad but true. Why does he not just keep his mouth shut, or if not then at least don't make it out to be so god damn rosy. Reed has done a lot of good for us but he has also had some absolute **** ups, as last evening showed.
-
Just got back after 3 different road closures! What a nightmare. Onto the game.. we were absolute garbage in the first half - moved the ball far too slowly and looked vulnerable at the back. We looked a lot better in the 2nd half when Boufal came on and we actually played a 4-2-3-1 for the last 15 minutes which made us look more threatening than we have all season. Player wise most of them were average. Forster and Romeu were better than most. Tadic and Clasie were woeful and would probably sell both in the summer. Boufal was man of the match for that second half performance - some of the touches he showed were world class and always looked like making something happen. Massive massive game on Saturday now.

Transfer Deadline Day Jan 2017 Edition
Harry_SFC replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Surely we aren't signing an average centre back who is injured until March? Surely..? -

If we fail to bring in a CB then it'll be a massive **** up on our part. Imagine if Yoshida gets injured in the next couple of weeks.. -
Sounds like a good idea to me. We desperately need another decent centre back and he's clearly a good player. The loan gives us an opportunity to see if his attitude is as bad as people are making out.

Swansea away build up - Tuesday 31st Jan KO 7:45pm
Harry_SFC replied to Wimborne_saint's topic in The Saints
The pressure will be on after all the rotation today. If we don't get a positive result then serious questions need to be asked. I think the team picks itself - it just depends on the fitness of JWP I guess.
