  1. He only started playing for the Under 21s this season. Too early for him I think but he does have big potential.
  2. He has been ahead of Downs in the US pecking order for a while. Why we thought signing Downs who can't get ahead of Derbys striker in the national side would be a good idea, who knows.
  3. Yep. Still said he was an adaptable coach, now he has to show it. So far the game plan has been get it wide and cross into Stewart. As you say, without that he's got to come up with a plan that suits what we have available.
  4. They both try and get their teams to play this stupid brand of football and are both as arrogant as eachother. Even if Still fails here at least he's not a tosser.
  5. It's probably the most logical thing to do, so it'll never happen.
  6. I still think they will give him a while yet, at least until the November international break. I wonder if Rohl now being available without the need for compensation would make this an easier decision for the club than maybe it would've been. Or if that ship has sailed then Carrick could be a good shout. Both managers seem to a favour a 4-2-3-1 formation that we've seemingly signed the players for. Would be nice to just appoint someone with decent experience at this level rather than trying to be too clever with things as normal.
  7. Agree.Still needs to keep him out of the firing line because it will keep getting worse if Downs continues to perform like this.
  8. Yes
  9. His reasoning was ridiculous too. Wanted to shore up the left hand side. We shouldn't be looking to shore things up against Derby. We should be on the front foot looking to score against these sort of sides.
  10. I said that as soon as we went down, I wouldn't be fussed if we had to keep Onuachu this season as he'd get a really decent return at this level.
  11. He picked Onuachu who whilst was a poor signing I'd snap your hand off to have at the moment.
  12. Would be an absolute mad thing to do. So he'll be offered one first thing on Monday morning.
  13. It doesn't look like we are winning our next two though, does it?
  14. Quite. I don't get it. He looked quality in that cup game against Lpool and haven't seen him since.
  15. Surely it's time Manning was dropped for Jelert. The bloke can't defend for toffee.
  16. Yep. Absolutely ridiculous. I can only think he's being told he has to include Downs because the guy is absolutely diabolical. If not then crazy decision making.
  17. I'm certainly veering towards Still out after this. Baffling subs.
  18. Would be a bit disappointed to see 3 CMs away at Derby.
  19. It is a big game and a game we simply have to be winning. They will be in and around the bottom 3 come the end of the season but they've got a good enough manager to probably keep them up. I said I'd judge Still come this international break. Win this and it's decent progression. 13 points after 9 games wouldn't be as many as I'd hoped for at the start but given the circumstances of trying to build a new side it would be ok. A loss here given the Hull debacle a couple of weeks ago would leave me very concerned.
  20. Agree. Jander is clearly not a number 10.
  21. No because his idea is that his side will always have the ball, so don't need to defend.
  22. They definitely look like the team to beat so far. Although Boro are currently top I don't think they will be there for too long.
  23. Good post 👍
  24. I'd like to see Scienza given another start personally
  25. Am I the only one who thought we were the better side and deserved the win? It wasn't brilliant but certainly felt as the away team we did enough considering we skied a penalty and missed several other chances.
