Probably impede season ticket sales unless there is some price reductions.

That would mean playing 3 centre-backs in their correct positions. So it probably won't happen.

Useless fact. if you take the train from Southampton to Waterloo, after you pass through Woking station, the first road on the left is Stanley Road. This is where Paul Weller grew up and the title of one of his albums.

If a formal complaint was made it's standard procedure for the police to inform her. Why it wasn't a solitary PC is another question. She wasn't questioned, just informed about the complaint. i'd be more concerned about the Councilor abusing the complaints process to try and silence criticism.

Just listened to a bit of a talk given by Suella Braverman to the Heritage Foundation, the right-wing US think tank. She proposed that, in 20 years, the UK could be a nuclear-armed Islamic state and be a greater threat to the US than either Russia or China. Considering that Muslims make up 7% of the population and many of those are not Islamist, it would take a pretty dramatic electoral swing to bring them to power. This woman was the Home Secretary and is still an MP. The fact that she feels the need to spout this bollox suggests that she's becoming a bit desperate for attention or is she just deluded?

Matt's Bakery off Leigh Road do good pies and cakes. Haven't tried their bread.

Saints Women's games are to participate in a trial of allowing alcohol to be drunk at your seat. 3 other clubs are taking part, 2 of them with experience of this because they also host Rugby.

if you know Southampton, it was obvious that the scenes supposedly shot here were not Southampton.

Similar pattern to Brexit not surprisingly with the older and/or less-educated voting to leave.

When did "detailing" cars become common? Another US import. What's wrong with a wash and polish?

Just watched Girona and Liverpool, ended 0-1. Gazzaniga in goal and Romeu taking no prisoners in midfield (he's on loan from Barcelona) Girona put in a decent performance but lacked a bit of quality in the final third.

I think that the first Saints presence on the internet was in the early 90's and was a mailing list hosted by Ian Barclay on a server at Hewlett Packard in Bristol where he worked. It then migrated to Southampton Uni where Dr Dave Currie and Mike Furby created the first Saints website. They got the club interested and it was officially launched at the Uni by Matt Le Tiss in early 1996. I did the home match reports for a while but when Rupert Lowe took over they started to edit them so I stopped. The mailing list is still going but with much reduced numbers.

It's often forgotten that McMenemy got a lot of abuse in his first season. Taking us from top half when he joined to relegation upset most fans. I was under the East Stand but was told by friends under the West that he was roundly abused and regrettably even spat upon on the walk to the dugout. I'll always be grateful to Souness for the 6-3 Man Utd game.

2 separate things. Branfoot was long gone when Lowe arrived. The Ipswich game was December '93.

I think that the argument is that as a foul was committed before the shot, the game stops at that point and what happens after doesn't count.

Roughly £12m to pay off Russell and his team. According to Adam Blackmore, that takes us close to our FFP limit. So no new players in January without selling first and no buying a new manager out of his contract. That leaves us with managers who are out of work and won't mind having a relegation on their CV.

In terms of a comprehensive win over top opposition, one of the best games that I saw at The Dell. Liverpool were on fire that season. Won the league by 9 points scoring 78 goals with a goal difference of 41. But we took them to the cleaners with Kenny Dalglish saying that it could have been 8-1.

Also, when he was a nipper, he lived opposite my Uncle in King George's Avenue.
