  1. It is madness that people like Vanessa Feltz is paid £400k a year, Zoe Ball (world class presenter according to the Beeb!)£1.2m. It makes me mad seeing these people get such high fees. Iam sure you could get people to present the programmes for a quarter and would be just as good. I only want to tune in to listen to a few tunes, not to listen to their inane chat.

The more I think about it paying £100k PW for 4 years is hell of a commitment and taking large sums from our potential budget. I still feel keep him for a season and let him go on a free. To still be paying him those wages at 32-33years old does seem pretty strong
  3. He's foreign so he must be good. To me he has been hanging around for other clubs to come in for him and perhaps its telling they haven't. I still believe we miss looking at our own lower leagues where there are some good players
  4. I was happy with Puel but unhappy with Southgate, although his last game showed some promise
  5. I keep banging on about Grimes, think he is a decent player
  6. We may think Villa are at a similar level than us but they are a much bigger club steeped in real history Champions of Europe. To us pulling on a Saints shirt couldnt become a chore but JWP may have ambition and Villa have a vibrant team onthe up. Who of us really believe we are in that bracket at present??? JWP probably feels that the Euro snub is a nail in his coffin for England but may feel going to Villa might give him a bit more credence. £30+ million will be tempting to the club and whilst they will say hes not for sale Im sure they will do if the money is right and gives us the chance to spend on a few other players tofreshenus up
  7. Reminds me of us when Lowe opted for Stuart Gray instead of going for Moyes or another at the time. Wanted the cheap 'loyalty ' option lol
  8. what is your user name on twitter just in case I dont follow you?
  9. god, reading the comments from Ralph is depressing, we may 2 or 3 including loans. I really am surprised that Ralph hasnt unearthed some gems from his Austrian and German footballing background
  10. Personally having all these players leave who have failed in the past may not be a bad thing. If they select well they could come out of it stronger. It depends how good judges the Cowleys are
  11. What do you think would win a fight between a lemon tart or a one legged giraffe. Now tell me there are no stupid questions lol
  12. I suspect the amount of players released tells us something about clubs finances. Im sure there are many players released every season but I cant recall as many who are so called 'names'
  13. Sorry I cant recall many defence splitting passes, slide rule balls but I may be too harsh. The goals I assume were mainly freekicks? He is foremost a defensive midfielder and tidy on the ball, but do you not feel he should press forward more and actually make more attacking play?
  14. He gave the penalty though
  15. Listening to someone who has first hand knowledge of how the academy is working now worried me quite a lot. Not very well organised and not much focus apparently.
  16. In the current market 30+ is a very good fee, but I agree with the rest you say
  17. I also wonder if this disappointment may effect JWP's performances next season and his desire may slip. I remember MLT not quite reach teh same heights after Hoddle messed his head.
  18. Personally a 30-40m fee if offered should be accepted. Get a bit of money in and get a freshness to some parts of the squad. JWP is exceptional in some areas, but he does not play a killer ball in open play and rarely gets into goal scoring positions. For someone who strikes a dead ball so well, he's pretty poor shooting a moving ball
  19. When he subbed JWP last night the way he greeted him as he went gave me then the feeling that it was a thank you and goodbye thing
  20. You can have many black boxes you want but if the person who is loading the info and reading what is spewed out is a poor judge you may as well forget it
  21. Simms may be going to Pompey!! I hope not as he has still so much potential
  22. Still think we should try for Grimes from Swansea
  23. you are going to see a natural rising of wages for workers. There is a labour shortage of people in the service industry and so companies will have to up their rates to get the staff. Generally the consumer will see a increase in prices. Inflation around the corner. I suspect we've all noticed it in the supermarket. Add to that we have the increased costs of importing goods from the EU and that will add to the upward pressure to the £ in our pocket. Low inflation keeps things manageable, I would hate to see the pain of high inflation again.
  24. Id like us to sign Grimes from Swansea. Good combative midfielder, who can score and make a pass
  25. Im surprised Eisner hasnt asked for League 1 to be renamed the World Series League
