Roger, you didnt see him play and so it is hard to just base it on statistics, and a few clips. Terry Paine was good enough to play in the World Cup winning team in the early rounds. MLT never made tournement stage for our country. MLT was probably the most exciting Saints player Ive ever seen. Terry Paine was never my favourite player as Ron Davies and Mick Channon were my heroes as a kid. My father used to tell us we didnt understand the things Paine did that made the others so good. It is impossible to say who is the best ever Saints player as it is all opinion, but MY all time best 10 (not in order as each has their own place in my heart) Ron Davies, MLT, Paine, Channon,Moran , Armstong, Ball, Shilton, Rod Wallace, Mark Dennis,

Lol, nawty boy -
Jim White will be rubbing his hands with glee, the damp squib of transfer deeadline day will be up and running again. His yellow tie will out waitning for the cameras to flag Harry's car down to get an interview
-
He couldnt believe his luck when the phone call came in. Stay up this season , which is not that difficult and then have the summer to spend and sell with all his agent contacts, lovely jubbly
-
I cant stand Farage and his UKIP agenda, but why would people believe he had the power to give any money of our EU contribution to anything???
-
I meant the opportunity to go to Grammer school. I went to a secondary school and so thats why I dont explain it so well
-
It would seem more balanced if you gave RK's first seasons results LLLLLDWWLDDL Scored 9
-
Surely offering Grammer schools for all is starting on education? As for the NHS that is an animal that cant be controlled.
-
I dont want a GE but it seems important that our PM should be able to deliver the negotiated deal when it is put in front of Parliament. How pathetic it would be if we go for 2 years negotiating and then for different political aims it gets voted down and we have to go back. Also the BBC political correspondent is so left biased, not a neutral as far as im concerned.Add to that Sturgeon saying that May is putting the Tories position before the whole of the UK, what a hypocrite
-
Im pleased for you Mack. Enjoy
-
it wasn't one player though was it
-
of course its only Puel who decides the games tactics. Guadiola who is one of the worlds best just dent his team out on a whim. At no time did he plan to stop our attacking threat or plan to nullify us at all.
-
Whilst we have lost to the top 6 we have hardly had the rub of the green in some of those games. Home and away against Spurs, Arsenal the joke penalty at the end of the game, we beat Everton soundly at SMS , we drew away at City. So we haven't been destroyed and not given them too much respect
-
and Romeu was not rated in the main. RK has been able to really strengthen eg Morgan
-
Puel hasn't made excuses either. It is fans like yourself who try and divide the fanbase on this issue. Your point was that Koeman would have done better than Puel as RK has done well at Everton. Like I said and you cant counter, he was not robbed of the main source of goals, unlike Puel. RK rightly knew our owners were not going to build but weaken the squad again, why risk your reputation by staying and doing worse due to the squad being less effective. Oh and your statement that our squad is better than Evertons is laughable, who would get into their first 11 at present?? our best are injured, and Romeau may not get in front of Morgan, Bertrand instead of Baines? Redmond may well do, and Gabby in frot of Lukaku???
-
if you had taken 25 plus goals away from the Everton team like was done to us then they would have struggled. He also didn't have to contend with European football. He has also been able to add to the original squad as well as not selling any prime players.
-
Considering he has been dealt a squad that has not until recently a player who can put the ball into the net, he has to contend with a couple of forwards who could not score in a brothel with an overdose of viagra. Hence we have struggled to get the confidence in games to play to our fullest ability. I think if you went back to the last few managers they were accused of not playing good football. Add to that our keeper having a confidence issue. Some of our football has been superb in stages this season, and the way we played against Liverpool in the semi final at SM and at Wembley was superb. A credit to our football club Sadly fans lap up managers who after games cynically say how wonderful the fans are etc etc. Puel is not a fluent English speaker and so has trouble conveying his views when interviewed and so fans don't hang onto his every word. I do think he is getting better in his interviews although a long way off of what the fans will love. We have the basis of a slick and fluid attacking team, hopefully the board will follow up with their words of players staying and we can improve our squad. I still stick by my statement earlier in he season that Puel will become one of our best managers of all time. He has already taken us to Wembley and that is something some of our other more favourite managers never achieved
-
the football we play is decent, give Puel time to get us playing to his way.
-
IMO you should perhaps change your name to Geoff is nuts. Puel is a very good manager
-
i watched the game on BTsport and realise now why I stopped paying for the BTsport subscription. A one sided commentary team with a Pompey fan commentator, aScouse git who played for Man City and a total Liverpool bias with their pundits. Man City deserved to win on their second half performance. Bertrand doesn't look himself at present and as much as I like Davis Iwould have thought the midfield who did so well against WBA perhaps deserved to start. Boufal as yet has not convinced me but I hope Puel will get him to cross once he has beaten his man and not try to beat him again. We still play some decent football and look composed on the ball. I look forward to next season after CP has worked with the squad and perhaps got a couple of decent players in

A country bordering China on one side and an allie on the other is impossible to throw a nuke at. China for some reason have been shielding them for decades, where they get the means and technology to make their nukes is a concern
-
I have listened to it and you are just too nice!!! We need some characters like those on Arsenal TV, blood
-
dont worry going up in 3rd will be seen as the greatest triumph since Hilary and Tensing climbed Everest. Your journalist at the News will portray the event as a day of national importance. Penny will ask for it to made a National Holiday

I'm sure all the families of those terrorists will find comfort in that graph. I assume our Irish friends are part of the earlier deaths -
obviously not a Saints fan as she is wearing blue
