  1. The jealousy of some posters on here is remarkable. Everyone seems to want to be the ITK poster. So far Tom28 has been pretty consistent and so lets not chase him away
  2. That is reassuring. I have stated before that it seems all our young players are not athletic and all seem pretty short. I worry about the coaches,as if the goalkeeping coach is anything t go by, the keepers go backwards not forward under his stewardship
  3. Exactly, you can have the best facilities in the world but if you fill them with dross you get dross
  4. Personally I think Redmond is a superb player and will be another to command a high fee when he leaves. I would like to see him in a more central attacking role, right up on the defenders shoulder to use his pace
  5. Puel did wonders with a squad that had 30+ plus goals ripped from it. I will back the new man as we need him to succeed, but he has to start getting something out of this average squad
  6. I do listen to it, but it needs a bit of spicing up. You are just all so nice and reasoned.
  7. It must have been good for Rooney to say 'hi Garath, thanks for the offer, but no thanks.' To recall him after just 2 games of the season was a nonsense anyway. Rooney has had the last laugh
  8. Great performance, we blew Derbyshire away. Dawsons decision looked iffy, he wasn't pleased either. They didn't show it back to check
  9. you might get an apology from a couple who doubted you,but don't hold your breath lol
  10. but of course if you put those players from the 60's or 70's into todays clubs, they would be fitter. We are doing a disservice to those players who did not have the advantages of the more modern physios and science we have now. Greaves would still score loads of goals, Charlton and Lorimer would still score worldies, and Bobby Moore still look a class above most of his peers.
  11. Graham Poll wouldn't give us a tin tack, if he found it under his carpet. Horrible little poser
  12. added a few inches of elevation? How you can say he was going to miss or score it is impossible to say. Fact is it was a push and a foul. There was no reason to push him expect to gain an advantage
  13. we are so good we have 70m players in our under23 team lol
  14. If he had pushed him like Yoshida was then I would have accepted it. If it was a fair challenge or marginal then and then given I would be upset., Zabaletta was not going for the ball and pushed our player. Tadics was a penalty, as it was a foul. It doesn't matter what way he was running. I agree that you don't often see them given, but that is not down to the rules but refs not wanting the aggro.
  15. Why was it not clear cut? Yoshida was pushed in the back to stop him getting a clear chance, a foul. Nothing soft or borderline. I agree some refs wouldn't give it as they bottle the decision, much like Fontes pull on Davis, Ive seen him get away with those in the past but they are fouls and the ref is correct. It is a shame that Hackett singles out Mason who IMO made 2 perfectly good penalty decisions
  16. It was a definite push and a penalty. I don't understand the 'soft penalty' way of describing these things. Its either a foul or not a foul. On this occasion it was a push an so a foul
  17. Lol, nice one
  18. roken glass for the job.' and 'Its the job ive wanted snce I hung up my boots.' I hold my hand up to that. Ballys quotes at the time of 'I would crawl over broken glass for the City job' and Its the job I wanted since I hung up my boots' were class less and at the time caused a lot of resentment. He didn't leave with any grace and as someone who believes loyalty is very important, I wasn't prepared to accept it. He was a great player and he was superb for us, he got the best out of MLT but to not know that City had to win on the last day to stay up was a joke. (for those who are too young to know, It was either to be Saints or Man City to go down on the last day of the season. We played out a tense 0-0 draw and City were at home to Liverpool. City went 2-0 down and pulled it back to 2 all andLiverpool were there for the taking. Bally thought a draw was enough and sent the message out to the team to take the draw and so be less attacking. It then dawned on them that they needed to win and so he then got them to attack and they so nearly got the winner. Those vital minutes saved us form relegation)
  19. I only have watched the highlights on Sky, but I notice a lot of criticism of Redmond, he was involved in 2 goals and also close a couple of attempts. Forster unlucky with the 2nd goal, both goals were brilliant poaching by Hernandez
  20. Chinese kamikaze pilots, whatever next
  21. Are you talking bout Trump or Boris Johnson there
