blame puel by all means but the board are the ones who have let the players go and not replace the goals lost. Go back to the preseason threads and see the posters on here warning about the lack of firepower. -
Saints 0 Man Utd 0 - Buildup, Match and over-reactions Thread

awa on business and alking to fans from other clubs and they are in disbelievement that we are sitting 8th and thinking of getting rid of the manger. 'What do we expect; was the comment -
football cannot be scintillating unless you have that style of player. Romeau JWP and Davis do not know how to play that way
-
the reason fans have not taken to him is that he doesn't juggle and crack jokes during interviews. If he told the fans how great they are that would help him as well. His English was poor but is improving, Ian surprised the club didn't use Black to do the interviews a bit more

apparently we have a quality 25 man PL squad lol
-
and if he does you cannot complain about who comes in

I understand your sarcasm, no doubt valid but if such things are being dished out what else that should not be given out also is on the lists. If we are to pay more tax, then at least don't waste it. Hence my point earlier, it is not about giving more tax it is trusting those who dish the taxes out. How about a consultant who knew that an op should not be on the NHS but told the person not to worry that they would slip it through (fact not hearsay)
-
I read (I cant recall if it was on here) that we give out nit combs and suncream on the NHS!!!! Perhaps the staff need to be a little less keen to dish these things out.

Does Diane Abbot do your economical calculations? That's it borrow borrow borrow, we did it before and we know what that brings us. The nation is at a crucial stage in its life, we are about to go into the unknown regarding our financial future and what Global companies want to stay and then you advocate taxing those companies more!!! We needto encourage them to stay to employ our people not make our goods even more expensive to our markets abroad

VAT is not on food clothes books and essentials, it is on take away food, cars, TV's ,mobile phones etc that are not essentials to life I do concede that rentsetc are too high, but of course some of that is due to Gordon Brown raiding the pensions and so people then invested in rental property to supplement what they lost. I personally would not be a good landlord as I couldn't take high rents off young struggling families but there are many who have/want to, t have a secure retirement

no doubt those top 100 have always been there. They have the money and power to move to wherever they are welcomed. The Corbyn way is hit the people who will generate wealth for jobs and the nations financial health. Now I think you would find that most wealthy would be happy to pay more if they could trust who is spending it. Personally I want the people who deserve it to get it, but ill be buggered if it is to help people who don't want to work have a bit more spending money to laugh at the working population. I also cherish the NHS but throwing more money at it like has been done for the last 20 years does not make it leaner and more efficient

Please quantify what rich is? If you think about it, anybody in this country is in the top 10% wealthiest people on earth. Is rich having Sky, a washing machine, a TV or being able to afford a takeaway meal every week, or get a Costa? The word rich is bandied about but I'm not sure what really does qualify the meaning. Is it somebody who earns a bit more than the next person, and so they should pay more?

so AR10 is not a fan and has been at various clubs. A player perhaps? joined on here July 2016.

if you think we should get rid of the manager to see if Jrod is still likely ever to be a decent player you have lost it
-
of course it depends what the ingredients the chef has to work with. If you have the finest fillet steak you can make the most wonderful Chateau Briand, if you have brisket.... Mane and the like would make the manager change the way we play,
-
cynical I know but increasing a contract is better for club and player. The player gets a wage increase and security, the club get a higher transfer fee when they are sold
-
when I'm doing it, it is the highest Whitey
-
you are correct, I don't so often due to business commitments. How can you play 3 when they have not been available? I do get the problem of the midfield, Davis is a good servant and is tidy until we go on the attack. JWP does some delightful crosses but there is ever a forward or midfielder in the box to take advantage, until Gabbiadini arrived. Do you agree had Long been more prolific earlier in the season things would have looked up? He just doesn't finish the chances he has had and so the team are frustrated and become disjointed. I watched many games last season and the football was poor but Pelle or Mane would score and gloss over a mainly possession based game all in the midfield. We havent a squad that is any better than most in the middle of the league and that is due to constantly diluting the quality of the team
-
depends who is marking him I suppose to get to 6.5 out of 10. If it is you then that is 9 in most decent judges ratings lol
-
I would suspect that signing a contract is different to getting a player to stay if an offer comes in for those players. If the club really don't want to sell then we would see how good Les was at persuading them to stay , at present I expect he is on 0% success rate
-
don't highlight your lack of assessing a players ability . I always thought the saying was sarcasm is the highest form of wit lol
-
Redmond derserves to be one of the first on the teamsheet. IMO he is one player who is worth the entrance fee to watch.
-
Jrod is a difficult one. I get what you say but his goals against Bournemouth and Boro show he has still got something but whether he can ever get back the man re remember it is hard to say

Season 2016-2017 My 57th Season following the Saints one of the Best
OldNick replied to John B's topic in The Saints
but that is the point of ths season, in the summer we were crying out where were the goals going to come from when we sold Mane and Pelle. Long is a fine team player but has never been prolific, Jrod does not look the same plyer. Had we had a decent forward who put the chances we created at the San Siro etc the season would have looked far better. The reason the games were so turgid was because the high number of goals being scored has not been there. Gabbiadini put the ball in the net for us and all of a sudden it looked like we were a better side when all it was having a better finisher. For me Mane was a player who got you on the edge of your seat and however poor we were paying he was likely to do something marvellous, that is gone although I firmly believe Redmond will do that more next season (if we keep him) Also I felt the performance at home to Liverpool in the EFL was a wonderful performance and better than most I can remember -
He has coped without Mane Wanyama and Pelle. All would walk into the side add to the Loss of VVD Fonte, Austin and Gabbiadini (add Boufal to that although it doesn't seem much of a miss ) you have a very lower mid table team. I cannot see any combination of players beating any team around us consistently with the squad he has, and he has done a pragmatic job in keeping us out of a relegation scrap. Please tell me how we could have been more effective a side without risking us slipping into the bottom 5 or 6 places with what he has at his disposal. play 2 up front and that makes us less solid defensively, ca you expect Long JRod to get us 2goals a game?
