  1. I do hope he keeps that up
  2. Whilst I understand your sentiments I don't think you can point at a football fan and make quotes by Martin Luther King. Its 22 men kicking a ball of air around, not fighting racism.
  3. watching West Ham last night, I thought I do hope we are not humiliated on national TV like last season!!! I do hope the Nivea man doesn't come and rub our nose in it. Football often surprises but over 2 legs may be asking a lot
  4. I dont know whether that is right, but they knew each other didn't they?
  5. I don't blame Puel, he probably knew that if he said he was happy with the squad it woud make him a favourable candidate for the job. I blame (as always)the complacency Reed and co had. Anyway after reading what Reed said an extra game is not a problem as the players run 13km a game and so we need squad rotation, its of course oh so different nowadays where clubs rotate their squad every game, where clubs like Chelsea (Leicester last) are foolish in keeping to the same each game
  6. they could wheel out Black but we probably wouldn't be able to understand him either
  7. Leicester winning at Everton
  8. Bloody predictive text Iassume you meant Tadic
  9. Lol
  10. Perhaps you could go back to the poster you implied had made it up though and apologise
  11. It cant be true as the posters on here said it was never said, must be the BBC making it up lol.
  12. what is it then? It is a burning will to win IMO. Not everybody is a hold it back and say nothing individual.
  13. you go first
  14. In many ways your sarcastic post is indeed correct. He had the remit of Marcus to follow out their plan and was doing so.
  15. Ive read the article and agree with a lot he says, but he has dropped his expectations and giving the fans a drop in theirs as well. Perhaps in 2 seasons time he will say 'It’s really important that we think long term so that we are still competing at 13th 14th and 15th in the league' and of course fans will say that's fine we are only a small club. Once Villa and Newcastle come back up they will be re energised and will invest to push us down further, as again we dilute our squad with players not qute up to speed in the PL
  16. we complain that players don't have passion and then when they show it ,that is bad.
  17. well as we keep selling our best players eventually thats what we will get. The players are not better when they are gone but have better around them, funnily enough a lot of the good players belonged to us in the first place. You go on defending the club selling the jewels with no questions asked.
  18. I was talking to a friend last night about how decent Wanyama is in the Spurs team, and perhaps as he is now around better players who do something when he passes to them it helps and the same will go for Redmond once weve got our big profit on him
  19. Well perhaps people from the outside looking in have not such a negative view of him. I think we are a better side with him in the team
  20. if the club play him his transfer value will go down and so I doubt the club are willing to do that
  21. Fonte obviously is not the same club servant he was before the |Euros. I never want our players to be chosen for international duty anymore as they get their heads turned
  22. well if they are in a relegation battle then we must be,I would put money on that they will finish higher than us this season. Of course things may change and we start scoring goals, but at present it doesnt look like it. The club is in turmoil at present and the complacency in the summer window is perhaps coming home to roost.
  23. Only one team can buy a player, who in the end chose us. Personally Im delighted he came to us as he will be a damned good player

    Dougal

It was a different world, but times were grim and you didnt have fans in replica kits and dressed like Pippo the clown. There was always a menace at away games and the gobby ****s ended up with a kick. Now you just get gobby ****s. Im not wishing for a return to those days, but fans like Dougal were respected , had balls of steel when facing some large groups of opposition fans. The world of football has been sanitised and now I am happy to take my children and grandchild, no way would the same then, it was predominently a mans territory and all that came with it.
  25. Ok thats fair comment but my perception is that you do jump down the throats of some with valid concerns. Some posters do deserve it of course, but in the main most who come on here to voice the concerns for the club they have invested their time and life in are doing so because they care.
