Guly pretty much confirms he is leaving Saints this summer
OldNick replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He took the abuse with dignity and I for one will have fond memories of him, but not unforgettable ones -
Who's been our best manager this season is the next thread

i would suggest his list of posters that make him laugh

Corp Ho used to do the same sort of thing, odd that

As their fortunes improve I suspect it will not be such fun knowing they have got away with real penalties. Whilst I do t expect them to get back to the PL or. Championship quickly they shouldn't be alive to have the chance

Sunderland fielded ineligible player against us at SMS
OldNick replied to Pancake's topic in The Saints
I think when it came to light in the press it looked as though Sunderland were doomed and so little was made of it -

Phil you at least can sample a bit of necrophilia, after all you will be able to see it from Anna's side. That's how she described your honeymoon performance -
Bony anyone? No not a boner Bearsy
-
The OP makes it sound as the person nicked them off the shoulders of fellow fans, clearly not the case
-
Perhaps being turned down by Juvenile will focus his mind and he will buckle down atSMS . That is if the players accept him back
-
is that a couple of goals in 40 games, that is not a dig at Gallagher bTW
-
If I had the choice Bony would be a better use of the money, he scored frequently and has pace and power. Not sure what price he'd be though
-
Not that a Newcastle fan would need a trophy cabinet.

you haven't done your last 13game statistics for a while.

Moans when we win lol. i am from a generation of Saints fans who were used to going away and would celebrate a boring draw, it seemed a rarity to get a win away. A lot of the younger fans have been spoilt the last few seasons with wins away on a regular basis. Enjoy a win away however it comes, the next one is normally some time away

I dont think cancelling the subscriptions is the way forward. GS will be getting off that he is the centre of attention and in the main the poster who upsets most. I had never asked the moderators to ban anyone in all the years i posted until a few months back when i raised my concerns about GS being a Skate/5th columnist. How about us having a poll set up if GS should be banned for a month to see if the site becomes more enjoyable again. if it came out that he was to be banned it may send a message to any other who wish to destroy something good, and at the same time get rid of the Skate
-
and there will come a time when Granty might say f-you lot and pull the site down. The trolls would have won, the Skate in Saints clothing would be able to back and brag to all on POL that he had got the saints forum closed. Ive met Granty and Baj and they are both decent lads and to a degree rely on people to be mature. The only issue I have is that posters like Bearsy who really add humour to stressful threads get infractions and GS can intentionally either derail or inflame to suit his Pompey agenda. IMO Turkish is never a troll, just good at throwing a grenade into a debate.

i agree this is a bit like the pub, I myself would be in the saloon bar:)

Duncan, it doesnt matter what ex-players thought of NC, thank god we didnt have one of them running the club. Where would we be now with them? As a fan I try to pull away from worshipping any ex player and accept they have faults away from football and their judgement may not be perfection. i respect and adore what MLT did for us when he was a player and love seeing him on Skysports.I paid nearly £1000 for one of his shirts at a charity auction, so I hardly have anything against him. As for your dealings with NC i respect that you had a falling out with him, but reading your posts it shows that you may not be the best to deal with if things are not going your way. The internet of course can give a skewed view and so that may not be the case in real life. NC did a fantastic job and I for one would have preferred he stayed as i liked his determination and single mindedness to get the club to the top. ML was no fool and if he was good enough for him then he should be good enough for us. Him not being chummy with ex-players and not stocking publications did not effect my enjoyment of our rise back to the heights, and the quick way that the new regime rushed into getting these things changed as NC left concerns me that they are more worried about popularity than success

Lovely way to end the day, congratulations

Duncan the majority of fans were very happy with the clubs progress under him. Had we had a less successful chairman we might still be in L1, how would we feel then. Yes the ex players would have their free tickets and might be happy, but fans like myself who turned up rain or shine would be worse off. We know why you didn't get on and sadly that caused a rift but could we be confident we would be where we are if it was not for NC ? Forget not he was the one who put the club and it's potential under ML's nose
