  1. I can't think where i've heard that idea before.
  2. Many a true word said in jest
  3. BC is using the same tactics he used on the players who were rightly wishing for their contracts to be honoured. They deserved their money just as much if not more than Birch. I bet he is fuming because he has now been cornered. The Trust cannot become a player unless BC walks and if he does I suspect there is not enough money in the coffers to keep the club going until they are in position to get it all together. AA and Bc are getting their revenge for TB taking the job on at the expense of AA. I do find this part funny.
  4. Yep, AA is also a very shrewd player, and has been a step ahead all along.
  5. ' playing for his teammates who make him look good.' well if that is the case why is Holloway worried about him going Lol
  6. Wow what an operator BC is. He used TB to force the players to leave on the back of 'Pompey will fold if they dont leave' and now BC has basically used the same trick on him. TB will be the man to face the flak if they dont reduce their fees. Superb work by him and in doing so protects more of the PP. You have to give it to BC he is very smart. I expect now lots to come on here and say they saw it coming lol
  7. is that where the body was hidden? or just a case of him helping the killer to get away
  8. I think you may need to change that a bit, i suggest his skin colour had little to do with the sun
  9. so what has that got to do with BC's bid and getting his money back? It is just a trigger point for the loan, nothing to do with the intricacies of BC's finance
  10. it looks good from a distance, and a perfect aiming point for a nucleur bomb.
  11. That is something that BC can only answer, and we will see shortly.
  12. it is a loan not non-returnable and if they get the legals right the money will be safe. I think it was only going to be a short-term loan and so a political decision in their favour was likely to be made.
  13. so you dont then, lol
  14. You can bless all you like but you haven't put figures up to back your obvious explanation. When you do then you can patronise as much as you like.
  15. and where is 18m? There is a payment of 5.8m coming in on the PP, the club has to pay its way in the meanwhile £1m per annum would take quite a time to get the rest in. The PL will not pass the money straight to him and so I dont see how your way is so straightforward.
  16. Lol can you imagine the council backing the loan and then the Pl deciding not to guarantee it?
  17. So TB is holding back PP to cover his costs and only 5.58m left for this season. If that is the case I cant see BC is buying just to get his 18m back as patently there is not that much there to come in the next few years.
  18. amazing, and so I suspect the council will have the loan underwritten,That makes it very difficult to say no to the loan if this is the case. I bet the trust wished they had asked for 5m. It would have let them make a better bid to the creditors.
  19. if the loan/debt was as unclear as that surely the administrator would have kicked it into touch. Comical as it seems there must be paperwork to back BC up. BC is a smart operator and whilst I have been the target of a few smart remarks I am still here and have yet to be proved wrong. Many like the thought that the Few are squirming (well make out they do) and finished for years, i dont wish to take the risk and let them be quashed immediately. As for the squad, if the players are out of contract and no wages coming in, i doubt they are in a strong bargaining position and so will take what they can get. £2500 pw is still a decent wage, especially if like Howard they have been paid handsomely over the years they can wind down on such a wage. Some of the players on trial would have commanded decent transfer fees a while back
  20. no, spot on
  21. it is the school holidays
  22. i dont think i am missing the point as i have said all along that Bc will take the club on ,and that they would not be toast. There are plenty of decent players around who are free agents and MA will make a competitive team. Whether they can get promotion is another thing but I dont see them falling down a league. BC all along has been at least 1 step ahead of us on here and whilst he may have been duped into lending them money some time ago, you dont become fabulously wealthy by making too many mistakes. he has something lined up and you never know he may buy the land around FP and make it a better proposition to a potential buyer for expansion. The FL constraints may be seen to be fierce but I have little confidence in them as they seem to wory about a team folding more than policing.
  23. 2 weeks ago the 8 players on big contracts were still there. It now seems that TBH is going and TB's plan to pressure the players through the media has worked. Bc is now free to take the club over with no debt and a decent PP kitty to come his way. Friendlies are no real sign of things to come but it seems that having no squad has not hindered them to get a couple of results and they can start from scratch, Im sure most new managers would like no squad to begin with and then assemble your own team. i see it as an advantage. of course many will say they have to be able to get the players in, but the way the FL have chose to turn a blind eye before will not give me belief that they will relax the rules so that they can field a team. They will be out of admn with a CVA and so can argue they are now free to go again. Depressing and anyone who crowed may have it thrown back at them especially if we fail this season, you wait for the ultimate crower to return as soon as the results start goig well down there. He will say he has been in the Carribean with Barbie and Ken and so that is why he hasnt posted for a while, but he will be back
  24. is that why they have tried to get LL on a new contract so they can get some money for him?
  25. Lol, to most he is not an option but a consortium of Pol Pot , Stalin and Hitler would be seen as a dream team down there. They have lost their pride in the stampede to stay alive. To a degree i understand the desperation but Iam sure many will feel tainted by the association, not all of them are knuckledraggers
