My father used to tell me about his hero Charlie Wayman who was our top player in the 50's? I didnt go and so can't comment on the game as such. My observations are that Peterboro play good football and can score from all over the pitch, and that makes them dangerous to our hopes. We seem unable to score from open play and so cant get the 2nd goal in games like last night to kill a team. A point away is OK and Charlton however bad form they are in were likely to raise their game.I have called for us to sign some players in the eventuality of injuries suspensions and just to freshen up the squad. Many treated that with scorn, once the loan transfer window closes and the worse happens what then? How did Forte play?

they are close to the play-offs and you just know they are going to ruin the party. If BC had spent a bit in the window they could well have made an easy run to the PL.

if they had scored i think you may have no fingernails left today. We were unconvincing first half and the game was in the balance. Not that i think Wed were very good but they created a few half chances and if one had been taken!! once we scored it did seem less of a threat

they did, they had a few corners that they won some headers that thankfully were not on target, a decent shot that went wide and KD had to sweep up a through ball, we created less first half IMO

I felt we looked fairly lethargic first half and not for KD's race out of the box to clear we may have gone 1 down. IMO they looked the likeliest to score first half. RL skill bringing the ball under control from the high ball was superb, reminded me of a great former player. Once again we needed a set piece to break the dead lock, that is a bit of a concern but i will take it. We played some better stuffafter we scored and i felt unusually calm for the last part of the match as we did look quite comfortable. No Wednesday player stood out, usually the opposition have a player who shines not saturday

you stay in your world DD where AL could play in centre midfield. You are happy with what we have got and I hope you have got it right. Only time will tell

no it does not but having weaknesses that should be mended is careless.

do you get the concept that we need to get promotion this season to fulfill the clubs aims? If so how can you not see that we are weak in certain areas and they are crucial areas. IMO BH is a very good footballer and may not fit in at Reading but was a superb player that made Barnsley tick and also weighed in with goals. To me it is glaringly obvious that we need more bodies (whether it is BH or not is not the point) and the pressure and mental energy needed to get into 2nd place will drain the squad. I dont care that ours is the most expensive already, i just want us to amke absolutely cetrtain we are not playing L1 football next season. if we are still here, you will not be watching the players like AL etc then

watched it last night at times. Some very sad stories. I have trouble reconciling the fact that the presenters are wiping away tears but still get paid a large fee.(or do they do the show for free?) Also £5 for a mosquito net, sounds quite expensive to me, surely they could be sourced at a much better price than that ps i did donate and so the show did its job

So if RL gets injured (please let it not be so)we can play AL or OX up against the big centre back pairings? Might work, their pace and trickery against the brawn.

it is not about BH it is general terms that we have not used the windows to our advantage.All the nonsense about us be a money bags club has been swept away. I dont think any of the other so called rich clubs would be relying on Oscar to drive the teams promotion push on if they were in our position. We are getting in high average gates and so we should be able to take on a couple of players. Pompey with their high wage bill break even at 14k, what is our average 21k? Add to that all the extra merchandising that goes with it. You may be happy with the wonderful 20man squad but i'am not, i want to guarantee that we will make it ,not rely on the spluttering displays that i have had the displeasure to watch. BH may not be that guarantee but more so than a 19year old(?) lad who is still green around the ears. What will failure cost us? IMO it will cost us at least 2k off the gate next season let alone the departure of a few of our best players.

for me it is not whether we get BH but we strengthen at this time. As we have still not strengthened our team it shouts out that the money has indeed dried uop and NC is either looking to offload the club or the Liebherrs are not sanctioning any other funds. The complacency of the fans on here saying we have a good enough squad and the others are not stronger is amazing to me. i dont care if the others are not adding to their squad i want to turn up to the bar fight with a tank and the best fighters in the world, not me and my mate who used to be handy 5 years ago.
