A nation that allowed its citizens that were unable to pay a bean,to borrow 125% of a loan. The useless government we had oversaw it and sat on their hands. Many were shouting in the wind well before Cable about the obvious nonsense of the lending. We had a credit card chancellor and a nation of people who just carried on as if there was no tomorrow. The bankers knew it was going to end in tears but their greed of getting multi million pound bonuses every year was too much to resist. The top people have made their famillies future safe for generations whilst the rest are left to pick up the pieces. The bankers and former government should hang their heads. Many decent people are going to be out of work and bankrupt due to negligence. Yes a lot of those people were not bright enough to see the folly of the debt, but those at the top did and have pulled off a massive sting IMO

Have you or any of us, but Im sure if asked we would be more than happy to take the job. Surely the problem with football is that the football world think you have to have played it to be involved. Jimmy Hill used to drive me crazy when he would answer with distain that ,you dont know as you never played the game when he was answering questions. You only have to watch Motd and see the so called experts having a go at refs as they hadn't played football. It is a nonsense. IMO NC is well qualified to run a football club and I'd rather him than an ex-player.

That is good to read and I'm really glad you are behind NC and the club. the last thing we need is the destabilization we had of past boards etc. Manji I have never met but he is also a passionate Saints fan from the bit i have read by him on here. He was defensive of RL (I was to a degree likewise)but i put myself more in the category of being defensive of the club and when push comes to shove the club wins although under Branfoot/Askham i did lose that loyalty. Saying that, I believe he could ask for his comments to be withdrawn and were at best badly worded and if he felt it in him perhaps apologise. MO is IMo a top performer and did not deserve the flak he got. I think the bad feelings stem from the period where LM and him were doing something raising money for the club and some unfounded rumours regarding payment came up. Anyway it is good that MO is not feeling grumpy at you and we all can move on, as you say forums can be lethal

Listening to NA's aftermatch interview where he mentioned Holmes i suspect he has a good chance of playing. I hope he does as i think he could be a good player for us
