Well for once I cant beat your teams shot that hit the screen Lol. I expected a bit of flak from some of the posters from here but the only bit i got was from Fos and it was good banter.I only tried 2 shots both on target but went off my foot like a damp squib. I decided to call it a day then as I didnt want to lose all their respect immediately

I agree but if he loses the 1 team who have actually put their money on the table he could look very foolish if they now walk.I wonder if they have the courage to give him an ultimatum saying 'tell us yes or no' by say tomorrow or we walk. They would be risking their costs of course but it may force his hand one way or other
-
Oh no i hope it doesnt unravel. the organisers have put so much in as well.
-
Fry is obviously a clever man but we cant afford for him to be too clever. If he believes he is brighter than the people who are bidding he may find that he has made a big mistake that hurts us.
-
GM I am certain Weston is not talking about the Pinnacle bid, but another.

Nice start Phil.I'll look forward to some more that your ghost writer puts out. Only doing the stretching and running as a joke, Lol . Old Fos1 was lapping it up and doing set plays and little routines. You lot did look the part. I did point it out to the lads and they certainly enjoyed watching, and then quickly went back to blasting the ball as hard as they could into the upper tiers of the Northam. Bp our keeper had his hands stung a couple of times...its unusual to have wasps at this time of year. You did look like you meant business in your kit and full respect in that, there was me in my jeans trendy top and a pair of training shoes. No doubt the crowd thought that we were being managed by someone just thrown out of the Concorde .I said to somebody 'bloody hell, Phil is taking this serious he has even brought a proper coach with him' at which time I was informed that it was #### #### or Fos one of the team.

I must say the strife of the last few years is nothing to the worry of nobody tying up the deal. Many think it is a certainty it will happen. I am 70%-80% sure we will be ok
-
I also agreed on this but we cant afford it to be a disaster and as much id love to scream in those peoples faces 'see i told you so' I cannot afford and dearly do not want to be right. To be fair I think Alps has shown in his posts that it has not been as easy as perhaps he thought it would. we may soon find out whether it turns out ok but as time goes on many know that we have no choice in the matter and yes RL has lost a lot of money that pleases some but ultimately well ALL will be losers in this debacle.
-
RL asking for buckets to be filled with donations would have been as successful as being the only male stub Elton John at an all girl orgy
-
Successful on the pitch that was set up I assume on the bakc of injustice and so perhaps their fans are a different mindset. We at present (including myself) are not wishing to pay £20 more to a fundraiser to help the club.
-
so they expect to increase 30% in sales. It will be interesting how they get on, please keep us informed.I will remain to be sceptical especially on a higher value product.
-
Did the newspaper and restaurants keep to that system?
-
Well if it works it is a masterstroke. Perhaps I have lost faith in the good in people.
-
I have often said that our good players stood out too much and that cost us dearly as we kept selling our spine.Clubs like WBA Brum etc have got promotion by having players that were too good for the CCC but not quite good enough fot the PL. We need a team not a few flashy or stand out players. To see the team play as a unit for common cause would be ok in my book
-
Time will tell whether they are right to have taken such a risk in these times. Were the club successful or are they on a downturn like us?
-
Yep some will pay more but like SFC that will be the hardcore who love the club almost too much. You will then get the fairweather fans who think 90 is too much unless they are playing MU every week.
-
I suppose if you are wrapped up in the belief that RL would actually say that you may think he'd say that. Personally I dont see why he would say that. Unless he was in some lighthearted jesting, I doubt he'd get into a conversation. He would also know that many people know of him whetehr they be from Southampton or not and wouldnt be surprised he was recognised. Its bull as far as Im concerned.
-
Lol, fans pay what they can afford. Knowing human nature there will be the ones who take advantage of this offer in more ways than 1. They wont last longterm and exactly why fans on the board are a waste of time IMO
-
I very much doubt this is true, not that I doubt you Duncan
-
I think that is a good shout but it seems only us 2 think it a good idea Victor
-
I see what you say and so of course you are right.

The Jade Goody of the football world is honoured by haviong his picture hung in the National portrait gallery, what a sqad indihtment of our times

Of course they need to be diligent but we have been in administration quite some time.Yes he will be able to buy us cheaper in a few weeks. You of course believe that our funds are boundless and will be able to be eeked out for them to wait until it is cheaper. If the club does not have funds and are liquidated he will be able to buy us for £10m cheaper. Super wealthy people can go and buy boats for £200m and not worry that they cost 100'000s a week to run, that is who i think about when i mention super wealthy. If a buyer is concerned about 3-5m they are not super wealthy IMO.
-
I dont agree. if the assets are worth more split up than to one poor offer the administrator will split sell and liquidate that is his job
