Had i heard defeatist stuff before the match Id have nipped that in the bud.We were the mighty Flints and only underhand tactics were going to beat us......ohhhhhhhh Phil was a good man though, a really nice man.Congratulations to him and his squad of 19
-
But that starved the club of money they could have the tickets for.Surely the club comes first at this time.It is all conjecture at present of course.
-
It may be naive but I really believe MLT wouldnt charge.I do hope Im right on that.
-
Hypo, if MJ's contacts bid is acceptable and is the ONLY written 1 submitted so far it is rather foolish to be scornful. I understand his past indiscretions but beggars cant be choosers and we are so close to being finished, caput, extinquised, ended etc etc etc we should be encouraging not dismissive. Now IF it is all talk and bluster then he deserves everything thrown at him and he must understand like MW RL and Fred Godwin he weill not be comfortably walking the streets ever again if the club folds due to his messing about. As I know there are a couple of posters on here who are respected who are also in the group I would be a little more relaxed.Therer again they could also be duped I suppose but I know 1 is vey pro active (not Weston althogh he does have his hand on the pulse and should be shown respect of his judgementr)

I wasn't invited to that!!
-
I did think it was a tenuous link but considering that as a bentley was seen on the M3 lol that Ken Bates wasc buying the club, seeing Pearce in Salisbury could make a debate. The forum is for talk rumour and loads of rubbish.Get over it Steeleye
-
I was told that the 'loan' was thrown into the pot last week and mentioned to buyers/bidders it had to be added on to their offer.
-
Is this definitely right?
-
I dont think the fans have a connection with the players/club at present.I also believe their is a lot of complacency as a poster has posted earlier. We have heard it all before with clubs just about to go extinct ans osmebody takes over last minute..ie Coventry
-
Iam disapppointed he was on so much considering the state of the clubs finances. The pay off I have no issue with, the Wilde bunch and fans wanted him gone and he got his rightful severence pay.
-
That comment is most appreciated Hamster and if I did add something to the evening Im very pleased.I really was sincere when i said i was proud of 'my team' and although I didnt get to speak to all your lot (trying to get a word in with FOS around is tricky)they seemed a great bunch as well. May it happen again.

http://www.pinnacleproperty.net/contact.htm I think when it was first put up there was a spelling mistake that then was quickly corrected. All done in a rush and I cant see quite why

Lots of skeletons coming out of the cupboard now..
OldNick replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Robbie a PLC is always for sale, they are taken over all the time. Dont fall for the nonsense that we couldnt be sold. Anything is for sale if the right price is offered.Afterall the Wilde bunch managed to do it and we know how good they were. -
You and your Echo Mb, I can only get bits from the online site as i now live in the sticks with the hicks. I was quoting form the bit on their website. If RL really is on 100k for that period i wonder what was going on.I cant see it is defendable under the circumstances but its SFC
-
Thanks Scally. Surely the money will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale or as an add on to any purchaser.I assume he will lose it if we fold. No doubt theclub/organisers would have been confident of a good turnout , rightly so i wont criticise them for doing so.
-
Well read the Echo site about all the stories coming out.I think its in the one about Barclays and their profit.Fry (not the adminoistator who was a saints fan)pulled the plug
-
Scally so the businessman will be guarenteed his money back or will the new owners have to pick up the bill if the gate receipts dont tally?
-
Alps, if you have looked at the Pinnacle website that had been thrown together IMO would it not worry you a tad.I dont wish to disrespect anybody who is trying to save the club but it struck me as a rush job.Why and what point was there to putting up such a site that seemed so unprofessional...to me anyway. Were they expecting loads of business from it? It keeps the alarm bells ringing.Anybody would know as soon as the company name came out everyone would be Googleing it and so why do it?? Loads of questions that i cant tally.
-
Who has gone to Norwich i thought thye had kept Gunn??
-
Thats your problem though Robbie just because somebody is anti Lowe you think they are 100% good. That is not the case though in life.
-
I have yet to see any startling stories in the bits on the Echo site. Richard Fry suddenly decided to pull the plug on the team he supported knowing it was going to cost us 10 points!!! and perhaps a spiral into obscurity. Does that not make you wonder about real conspiracy theories?????
-
If they are so precious I doubt it will be a problem, if they are really saints fans they'd understand Id have thought. I still am surprised that they did not get a response though, my experience was 1 of enthusiasm.
-
I was a little disappointed that Evil didnt come and say hello.
-
No as im my employer and have been since i left school...so I might have. It is a poor arguement as the players are directly employed by the company that they would be trying to save. It is a mad business as to a lot of them if the club folded they are free agents and some could earn juicy signing on fees if we did. The incentive to save us is not as paramount as it would be under a normal workforce situation for them. As a jesture to the fans who adore them ,sing their names take time off work to travel and watch them wioth their hard erned wages i would have thought morally they would do wahtever to save us. There again from somebody who thinks that bringing back an aged kitman at the expense of others/ or to increase the wage bill just to have his return im not surprised you are argueing for the players not to join in.

As a football manager LM was superb, since then Im not sure he is any better that any of the otherswho have been part of our sad decline He is desperately trying to talk us up and i appreciate that.On face value he has got a lot of brownie points recently.
