His Croatian International mate at Zagreb, Orsic, was a bit crap at Prem level so if he's anything like him maybe the Championship is more his level.
-
He's been taken ill. Replaced with Robinson
-
Yes. He didn't use him much though.
-
Really? I think we need a little more action in this case, or we may lose out.
-
He did, almost a carbon copy too. I remember thinking we should be good for a few goals that season 🤣
-
I'd rather we kept him than got a bunch of money that we will just waste on 2-3 squad fillers as usual.
-
Ah yes Duricic. One of the loans Koeman bought, along with Eljero Elia that I thought were a bit of a disappointment in the end. Pretty much like most signings these days.
-
Felt a bit sorry for him. Came here young and after all the decent defenders had already left. Would have benefitted from some time with Fonte, Alderweireld or even Lovren I'm sure. Instead, as mentioned above, he's a starter at 21 onwards. Still, time for a fresh start without him and seems to be a decent fee involved too.

I think apart from Bednarek, those four are the only players still at Saints when Romeu was here.
-
It was a bit sluggish last time out if I remember. JWP and Tella both played a game or two in the championship before they left. I'm sure this time round most of the players we expect to leave will do before too long.
-
No such thing. In Spain, as is the same here, the inside lane is where you should be unless performing an overtake.
-
Haha I like both of them actually so yeah proved me wrong!
-
Go on then.

From what I can tell Joshua Quarshie spent the first half of this season out on loan at 2.Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf and the second half at SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the same division. He didn't get much game time at Düsseldorf overall as they started strongly in the league. He played much more at Fürth, who were battling relegation but were much improved after he joined, conceding only around half as many goals from then on and avoiding the drop into 3.Liga fairly comfortably in the end.

Great play from both KWP and Bree, and a lovely header from Bednarek

I've mentioned it before but that game meant nothing to Liverpool, or us. They had a much changed side, including nearly the entire defence and had their, at the time 3rd choice keeper in. It was more of a farewell to Firmino game than anything else for them. I'm not convinced he would have torn apart their regular side with something to play for. He's hardly tore apart anyone else before or after, even in the championship which was really disappointing. Saying all that I often wonder how some of these players would perform dropping them into Koeman's side high on confidence. Would he have gotten a better tune out of him? Would he have been any worse than Djuricic or Elia for eg? I miss those days. These constant hammerings are miserable.

Lowest points at this stage and then go on to avoid relegation? Remain on 6 points all season but win the FA Cup and then winning Europa league from the Championship next season? Yeah sorry I'm being silly. It's sad just how long this season will be brought up in the future for all the wrong reasons unless something silly happens anyway.

Agree with the couple ranking lists above. Maybe I would put Edozie as a slightly less smelly turd as he was certainly more useful than Orsic for eg. Can't argue with the rest though. There are a few missing from what I can see but apologies if they have been mentioned. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Maxwell Cornet, Lesley Ugochukwu and Kuryu Matsuki. Only Les has approached anything I would call useful but I know nothing of Matsuki or how his loan at Goztepe is going.
-
I believe he would still be on zero goals if that game meant anything to Liverpool.
-
I know were doomed, but I would really like to avoid this list so 20 points is the minimum. https://theanalyst.com/2024/09/lowest-points-totals-in-premier-league-history

https://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-premier-league/ Even if I'm very generous and obviously biased and deluded it still takes ages to get out of the bottom 3.
-
So I should only mention West Ham in the last decade then? Ignore all of his other three managerial disasters and just focus on West Ham. And I'm the one cherry picking...
-
The guy was a disaster for Sunderland, Sociedad and Man U. You may be desperate to get him on board but I'm not, as I already said.
-
I'd rather take a punt on Röhl than Moyes if either were interested. Moyes has been mostly crap in the last decade, so the chance that he'll come good for us are slim. He'd be off once relegated too. Plus no one likes how his teams play either.
-
Very much doubt Moyes is interested. He already said he regrets the Sunderland job and felt it ruined his reputation.
