There's one thing that's being forgotten a bit in all this. Koeman DID verbally agree a new contract. If he just wanted to see out his contract then he wouldn't have agreed the new one. Then he didn't change agents until the Everton interest. It's pretty obvious what happened. I know some don't want to believe it and a couple of the painfully boring people on here just love to blame the club at every given opportunity but to me it's obvious what happened. There's also a tweet from a journo saying that our offer was 4.5mil a year for 3 years with a get out clause for next summer. If that's true then it proves even more that he left for the cash. Fwiw I really don't care about it now. It's an exciting time for us atm and i'm genuinely optimistic about next season. No doubt our mongy fan base will boo the tits off of him when we play them though.

This seems a lot like when we signed Bertrand. Good player with a lot of potential going through a bad spell. Hopefully he turns out as well as Bertrand has!

Koeman is a big name as a player but not a manager. He was huge in Holland as a manager but nowhere else. Pellegrini is a definite sign of ambition!

I'm genuinely shocked at the amount of people who would seemingly turn their noses up at a manager that has won league titles, taken unfashionable clubs far in the champions league and has done well when working with a tight budget. I'd take Pellegrini!!

Krychowiak would be a bloody fantastic replacement but unfortunately I really can't see it happening. He's got some really big clubs looking at him atm and I don't think he'd come here after his success with Sevilla. It would be a step down imo.

I copied your post from the other thread as I felt compelled to respond. For starters, everyone has their own views and opinons. Just because they don't align with yours doesn't make you a dinosaur or them up their own back side. Someone like Giggs posses a massive risk. Even more so than a Poch/Ron because he has hardly any managerial experience (4 games to be precise). Established top 7 clubs in the premier league don't take risks on people like Giggs and nor do we need to. He could become a good manager but then he could flop. At the very least we need to employ someone with a bit of experience and because of our recent success we are in a position to do so. With the others you've mentioned, Moyes and Bruce. We like to employ a certain style of play from the under 9's all the way through to the first team and although it may vary slightly, the priciple remains the same. Moyes and Bruce simply don't set their teams up in the way that we would like and because of our standing in the game atm we can afford to be picky and get in a manager that suits our set up. That's why Poch and Koeman were a success. Let the clubs near the bottom of the league panic and take chances on people like Giggs. We'll do fine looking at the candidates on our list. Just my opinion though mate.
