  1. I do not see Puncheon going anywhere in the window. More likely a loan deal after it has closed.
  2. Ipswich have just signed Jimmy Bullard (Hull) on loan until the end of the season.
  3. No we have not yet signed a second overseas player for the T20 yet
  4. I doubt very much it is leftback. The style of posting is so different. leftback was obtaining team information. That is not difficult. The other information regarding departures is not difficult to get either. That gives you an air of accuracy and the more gullible (sorry guys, do not mean to be offensive) buy into it. The Cortese stuff will not be available. The Swiss do not work on dripping information. Cortese certainly would not so it has to be, in my opinion, with malicious intent. That might be the group out there trying to cause trouble. I am not saying Northam Light on 606 or left back on here is part of that group but gullible purveyors of others misinformation and lies. As Morph would say.....All in my humble opinion, of course.
  5. Fantastic news. Particularly in respect of our 4 day game.
  6. Yes I go along with that.
  7. Do not agree Surman has faded. His problem was that he was asked to play with a team containing a number of no hopers in his last season with us. Wolves signed him and as told him he would be a regular. They struggled and McCarthy needed a different sort of player for the relegation battle but continually told Drew he had a future. In the end it was Drew who went to McCarthy and said he wanted a move as he wanted to play football. Norwich heard about it, Drew took a drop in Salary, started the season well but got injured. When he was fit he went straight back into the side but suffered a bad injury again and is out. Just back in training now and hopes to feature when Norwich play Palace. Lallana could have moved on for big wages but he is another who wants to play football. He trusts in the set up to get that promotion. If it does not happen, who knows! Chaimberlain is only 17. If he goes for the money, fine but he will not likely feature in Premier football for a few years. If he has the hunger for football he can earn those wages in a few years. In fact if he develops like expected he might even be able to demand more money in a good contract and make up what he might lose by signing now. Just my opinion
  8. Chamberlain has got to believe in himself. It he wants to play football he should stay at Southampton. He will get regular games, he will develop both physically and mentally and if he has the ability the world will be his oyster in a few years. If he had doubts about his ability or hunger for regular football then we are better off cashing in now as it will hint at a lack of character.
  9. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been targeted by Manchester City, Newcastle and Liverpool but the England under-18 starlet has decided to join Arsenal. "I think, if that is right, that is a very good decision," said Wenger. "We will try now. "We need an agreement with Southampton, we need an agreement with the player, and we are not the only ones on the case. But we try as hard as we can as I like him as a player." Now let's look at tht quote. What moves Wenger to say I think IF THAT IS RIGHT it is a very good decision. Did the reporter say "my sources are that Chamberlain would prefer Arsenal over other Premier sides" and that prompted Wengers comment. Don't take papers at face value.
  10. I am sure promises were made to Puncheon by Pardew. I am sure promises were made to Puncheon by Adkins. Managers often encourage players they want to keep. When Drew Surman was with Wolves he was made the same promises. Mick McCarthy often said to him that he was a good player and part of his plans BUT "we are in a relegation scrap and I need a different sort of player" In the end Drew got fed up with not playing and told the club he would rather play elsewhere. McCarthy insisted he still had a future with the club but understood his wish to play regular football. Drew tok a drop in wages to play for Norwich but is still in touch with McCarthy as a friend. That, in my opinion, is the difference. Drew went about it the right way and still has respect. Puncheon has a hissy fit because he thinks he deserves to be part of the team on the pitch. I don't think Puncheon has that respect of his peers.
  11. Midnight tonight - Europsport Channel 411 Sky
  12. Highlights here http://www.espncricinfo.com/westindies/content/video_audio/497936.html
  13. Puncheon played in the same Paul Elliott Academy as Drew Surman when Saints let him as Paul arranged games against other London teams. Even then he had an attitude. Would be interested to know why Plymouth let him go. Believe their may have been an off the field incident there.
  14. Disappointing but not suprising. We are a team with flair, not cloggers. Was out with for a drink with Drew Surmans dad last night, both still massive Saints fans. Mot teams in the Championship play football and he feels Saints are capable of doing just what Norwich have. I am confident we will be promoted and rather that slit my wrists I look at the table and we are still in the mix. Lambert, Norwich manager tells his team that if you want promotion you must NOT lose two league games in a row.
  15. Historical record against Tranmere at their place Won 1 Drew 1 Lost 4. Time to improve that record
  16. On again tonight. T&T won the toss and bat - 16/3 off 5 when the rain came

  20. No, TSW was right to ban him.
  21. Thanks Steve, wonder why he logs on so often then?
  22. The scallywag is still able to read the forum, just cannot post. He is on most days.
  23. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Cotterill-shrugs-off-exit-talk.6693104.jp I have very little smypathy with him. He knew he was taking on a financially broken down bus and suprise suprise, the man who put them into Administration and emerged with the ownership is reluctant to invest more in spare parts. Remember the bus on The Young Ones final episode. Thats you Pompey, that is
  24. I know, he knows, the club knows The injury happened 10 minutes into the Oldham game when he clashed with their goalkeeper. He was taken off much later with a slight groin injury. Now thought the groin injury was as a result of compensating for the knee injury in play Help?
