Lol! Good luck with Alan! Glad I bought a ST this year as it should be interesting.

Busy all day Sat. Shame as missing both the Hearts game and the cricket!
-
I know a few people who are Charlton fans and have been down to the Valley with them, even sat in their end when we played them there last season, and all were a great bunch. No trouble, nice as pie to me although they knew I was a Saints fan sat in their end. Their local is for both home and away fans and in fact encourages it and takes photos of every away group that go there for the games and has them on their wall. Personally I think it's a shame that a lot of clubs fans are not more like Charlton fans imho!

Got mine today! Not many Ajax tix left by the looks of it!

Can't wait ot be back SMS especially since the summer we've had already! As said previously, the football is just one aspect of going to a game for me. It's also the Soton Mela that day as well so will be going for a curry before game, then pint, then a pint after the game, and then another curry! Brilliant!

a) New Manager? WGS b) His assistant? Svenson c) Five realistic players? Lambert, Saejs, Vokes (on loan), Euell, RB (maybe Murty) d) A job for MLT? Honourary Director e) One ground improvement? More statues; Charles Miller and CB Fry. Also really make every concourse feel like it's Saints ground, ie. more pictures, colours, crests etc. f) One catering improvement? Proper beer and cider g) New half time entertainment? Cheerleaders h) Picture in the boardroom? Lawrie's one (will keep him quiet!).

I did say a GOOD version!!!
-
Think it was Jack Boyle. Looked like a good thin version of Adam Hammill!

Bart was appalling, looked absolutely lost. Mills looked really good but should not play LM as he did in 2nd half. Lallana was ok but wasn't match fit. Thought James looked much better at cm. Thompson looked useful 1st half before coming off injured. Lancashire didn't look as bad as beatle said above, looked like his level really. Rasiak was moving a lot for him, but that just made him worse. Wotton was rb don't have a clue why Murty didn't play, did okay, but certainly not a rb. Gillet worked his socks off yet again. Need: RB, 2x Strikers (Paterson reserve), but to be effective we need to get in alot more than that. Liebher needs to get someone in quick to manage and get his cheque book out, it's needed!

A pint of 49er would go down a treat a half time I have to say. Also stop selling half bottles of Magners at full bottle prices, it's ridiculous!
-
Signining Saejs first might help. Get rid of GR and bring in a pacey forward to go with SJ. A decent RWM would help as well. Sign up Marty and all should be fine! ;-)
-
Conveniently forgetting they have beaten us at least once!
-
Fry is not in charge of football matters. He is charge of SLH, not SFC.
-
I don't knwo why post didn't work but here goes again... We should organise a 'fan-based' group to buy Easteligh FC? As most of their fans are Saints fans and they originally are from Swaythling.
-
Sorry, I assumed you were implying that Fry was making these decisions, there is a seperate football board, although there is only 2 of them - 1 being Dave Jones - and this is what I was saying it would be them two, as to me there is no hint of pure business sense. I thought you were hinting at sonme sort of asset stripping conspiracy! :-)
-
You were the one talking about what's in what league so I'd thought run it passed you! Anyway move a column in a spreadsheet or something!
-
Can we have Non-league Mr 9?
-
MLT doesn't like Hoddle from when he was England manager, why would he appoint him?
-
Come on! It doesn't need to be Fry to necesarily be asset stripping does it??? McG - Wanted to go back to Notts last couple of seasons, anmd some good amount of money for him. KD - On a free from today and WHU offered him a contract, Prem or L1?? Surman - A Saints fan but again has opportunity to play in Prem with Wolves, and again a decent price by the looks of it.# Sad to see them go but looks as just as much as football decisions as asset stripping.
-
Thanks Killer, you were a force to be reckoned with. Great leader and hope you one day become a manager here (once you get some decent practice first! ;-) )
-
Why are people paranoid that we have sold one of our 'better' players when we are in league 1 with -10 to start off with and who it is coming knowledge wanted to go back to Nottingham? It is quite clear cut as far as I'm concerned. I would not be suprised if Drew, Lallana and maybe some others leave in the next few days.
-
Shame, but if it means the club has a bit money while it's being sorted out then good. Wanted to go back ages ago, not suprising and prob would have happened if we had stayed up.
-
Hope and dreamers! ;-)

I am too hot and bothered for all this malarky. Get on with this someone and buy are club today please!

Sadly this is a cracking thread! :-) Peas are nearly ready. Leeks are looking good. Spuds growing well. Courgettes didn't grow in the compost so risked putting the seeds straight in the soil and started growing almost straight away realy weird. Strawberries starting to grow, mange tout almost there. Carrots going nicely. Onions growing well. The good thing is that the ones I grew from seed/bulb are the ones that are doing better!
