  1. Eastleigh, St Pauli, Slavia Praha, Chicago Fire
  2. I agree that Stoneham would have been a worse choice than SMS. It also highlights for me the importance of any investment into the club must be followed by the purchasing of the land around SMS, i.e. the waterfront, for development which could offer opportunities for the club as a whole. This would be be good for the city and not just for the club.
  3. Happy **** day ****-face!
  4. Compulsory purchase order anyone?
  5. ------Saga------ Skacel-----Smith ------McG------ Surman--Schneidelin Molyneux--Perry--Seijs--James
  6. That's the Staplewood ground that Saints bought when they folded! Anyways, if Saints did fold or if I finally had enough I would just support Eastleigh, as they are my second team it wouldn't be a choice.
  7. I have flu. Do I get Xmas compensation? I blaltently caught it while at work.
  8. MLT and Franny could work, skill AND workrate then!
  9. 2-1 They have a YOUNGER team than us, so we have to win! We can't use inexeprience as an excuse for this one!
  10. Companeros, only if we allow for Workplace Democracy via worker's councils to administer the newly Nationalised means of production can you count on my arm!
  11. Hate to say it, but maybe getting Dyer back when Holmes is back would solve you little problem. Saying that I don't really want him back, and although BWP goes missing at times he has come back determined and scored some goals, something heavily missin at the moment.
  12. The plot thickens: I saw McGoldrick in Costa Coffee by Soton Central Station with 2 fellas in suits looking in deep discussion! Maybe it's him who's off to pay for Saga's return?!
  13. Keep Drew as he works hard and doesn't give up.which is what we need at the moment.
  14. Hope this does get off the ground and goes ahead, this city needs for at least one of the plans to move on, and then we can show it's possible for these things to happen in Southampton and hopefully it would get the ball rolling for the other planned developments. I've seen that 3d map in the library and some of the ideas seem a bit much but if most of them happen would transform the centre of Soton for the better. the even want to put a shell thing over the train station, odd but cool!
  15. After the rubbish we've been served up in recent years it's about tim we got to see decent opposition and watch our young lads give it a good go.
  16. It's hard for a investor to gauge if there is a big fanbase and therefore income as numbers are very low and have dropped, could you prove people would come back just because the current board would be gone? If so I think we would deserve a good look in. The debt is fairly large, but not as big as some, and that debt, really is a mortgage, pay that off and your pretty much done. Lots of clubs are in debt like us, luckily though (or not) we already have a new stadium so do not need that further extention of our debt to build something new. If we could convince someone that the riverside next to SMS was good to develop then I think we'd also be onto a winner. The large division of shares between 'warring factions' doesn't help though.
  17. Win, for the winning money, then we get another game, which means more money. Every step in a cup run gets you more and more money, so I would like to go as far as reasonably possible.
  18. It is not illegal to smack your kids out right, it is illegal to leave a mark, i.e. if you smacked them on the arse and it left a red mark then you could get done for it. You should never smack a child in the face. Saying that I don't what you could have done if it was the child's parent and they were being 'disciplined' they prob have given you a slap and told you to mind your own.
  19. Friday: Saw new Bond film, was alright. Sat: Went to Charlton with CAFC supporting mates so sat in home end. Alright game, didn't have to buy a single pint, went home got p1ssed at Hobbit. Sunday: Feel rough and and watched footie all day, chinese for dinner! 8/10
  20. I'm sure they are bringing in, or at least planned to a sort of community volunteer scheme for those who are ,long-term unemployed and on the JSA. Something like afte 1 year the have to do community work for a month, 6 months to 1 year after that would have to do it full time unitl found a proper job.
  21. As said before, we still have John, Rasiak, Saga and Dyer to sell before we have to sell the youngsters. Pointless pessimism will not make things better, you are not helping by being so negative just perpetuating a belief that 'All is doomed'.
  22. Will be going but sitting in the home end with my mate, his dad and his uncle who are Charlton fans so could be a tight-lipped game for me!
  23. Spreading the wealth from the Prem to the rest of the English leagues would be a start, let alone sharing around the whole of the EU!
  24. Cork for me, his positioning and overall class make up for lack of 'presence'
  25. All OS's are the same! Why would an officil source moan about the team telling them how sh1t they are? Are you all that stupid that you can't tell the difference between fans opinions and official propaganda? Have a look at other clubs Official websites, none of them are negative, it's all for morale To answer the original question, I think not being compltely spanked every single week and picking up some points especially on the road is a big achievement for a club with an inexperienced manager in this league and a buch of Youth/reserve team kids and fair bit of injuries at early stage of the season.
