  1. According to my buying history I've now been sold a ticket, but have only been to one away game. I'll believe it when the ticket arrives, but if so it's brill cos I don't live too far away from Griffin Park. We haven't fared too well against the Bees in the past so we must win this time. With their long ball game into the box and our vulnerability in defending these we must be alert at the back and midfield. COYS
  2. Anyone heard if they've been successful in the ticket lottery?
  3. ......with our Academy team!
  4. Watched Brentford score from long passes into the box, and we are susceptible to getting caught out this way. So I expect Brentford will be trying this a lot against us.
  5. Not for the kit, but can we get some flags printed for the Walsall game? Would be brilliant
  6. Brighton are one team that doesn't need to brown envelope the ***.
  7. I somehow feel that he won't play a weakened side against us 'cos Brighton regard us as 'local' derby rivals and they have a point to rub in to demonstrate to the world their current (and well deserved) ascendency over 'once mighty' Saints. They know we have injuries and they'll be well up for it imo. More likely that they will field an experimental side against Udders. Our best hope is that Brighton under-estimate us.
  8. My man of the match was Forte, not least for restraining himself when the ref booked him for an off the field handball!
  9. It's time to reassess Joseph Mills. Anyone know how he is doing at Donny? In fact I reckon we should recall him now. With so many injuries he could be LB, releasing Dickson on left wing. Coudn't do worse than we did at Rochdale.
  10. I'll definitely sign. (It is appalling that the drive for nationally economy cuts is hitting those most in need of support.)
  11. Don't like the top and last at the bottom. But really like the second row first and second. Modern and retains the sash (sort of) combining the stripes too. Go for these!
  12. I'm a great fan of Lee for his enthusiasm and industry. But he is not getting into enough scoring positions, perhaps because of his lack of killer speed. I think that BWP would have been more successful if we had had him in the team. On BWP's performances during his last two matches it is clear to me we made a mistake in not bringing him back to St Mary's. But we are an unforgiving lot aren't we and that could never have happened. He has added scoring accuracy to his predatory skills. Just a rueful thought.
  13. But we are running out of time and can't afford any more postponements otherwise we'll be playing three in one week. Do we have the stamina?
  14. I don't think that this is quite fair. Walsall scored five the other day, and how didi we do against them? At this stage of the season it is important that we field players with experience . Gobern has. Stephens has. But yes, i agree it could be a good opportunity to put our best defending CM from the academy on the bench while Gobern is out. I think Stephens is likely to be the the best available to us with L1 experience. There is plenty of opportunity to bring our younger players forward next season.
  15. Only four? - not gritty enough!
  16. lol. We're a small town near Newport...
  17. Not radio, and I don't know whether this is any good, but may be worth trying http://livestreamonline.manyaklari.com/2011/03/22/watch-free-charlton-athletic-vs-southampton-live-stream-online-22-03-2011/
  18. I liked this one.. "With our eyes fully focussed on next season, it could be argued that as the biggest club in this division and financially sound, we should desperately want Southampton to get out of the division this season." Hope this pearl of wisdom spreads through the Charlton ranks.
  19. Can't be sentimental. They ruined our seasons start. We must beat them.
  20. I quite like aap's logo. Local company too. Neat and in red and would fit in well at top left above the diagonal red sash (so long as it doesn't cross over the sash) - KEEEP THE SASH!
  21. No, you're all wrong. There's a green jacket top right without a head -must be him
  22. Still 50/50 possession
  23. It was moved to three because Plymouth are playing Saints at 12.30
  24. Redundancies now and supporters are being asked to donate £10 when they watch games. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-12673258 Such terrible memories of when we were having whip-rounds to pay players wages to get to the end of the season. (And incidentally we owe Crouch for his vital contribution then otherwise we might not have survived till the end of season) I don't care if their dissolution might get us into the Championship by the (dishonourable) back door. I hope they survive!
  25. It's academic of course, because AP was clearly thoroughly fed up with many things before he was sacked. Certainly, he lacked the dynamic involvement on the pitchside during matches that he had when he first came here. His body language during his last matches was of a defeated man.
