It's ok if you are an embittered ex-footballer who knows what he is talking about, apparently.

Good point. Until silly wages are curbed it won't happen.

Three (Plus a CM to replace Spiderman)
-
This has much to do with being rushed into a very poor first team defence without adequate professional mentoring (imho).

lol Skates taken over by the soles! Big fish eat little fish

lol, just like Millwall/WHU supporters. You could offer to do one for them too

Same here. I was not at the game so cannot comment on whether he had a good few minutes on the pitch or not. Without games players lose confidence, like happened with Bart, Smith before him, and countless other examples, and at a youngish age skills are not developed. We do have a problem in bridging the gap between Academy promise and real first team success. I hope Pards can do this better than previous regimes. I agree that Gillett does not have the natural skills of Schneiderlin and Lallana, but last season when we had no other choices he showed guts, spirit and energy. (If my memory serves me right he was man of the match several times or close to that, as voted by this forum) There are many 'Lowe-legacy' players that need to be re-schooled in the football arts. Gillett, Ollie and a few others need to be out on loan in League 2 for obvious reasons, IF they are not currently doing a job for us well here.

How can 'Al Fahim Asia Associates' be described as a sole owner? Have the associates morphed into one man? The fake sheikh certainly looks large enough though.
-
Whatever, they are still a much better team than we are, right now. (Curses)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8221776.stm It would seem the violence was instigated by West Ham supporters. Doesn't look and sound like minor incidents to me.

I blame their parents, and their teachers, and Margaret Thatcher. Of course the guys who did it aren't to blame. Fact. That's right, isn't it? Thripp, Rees?

Does put our visit to Millwall n a different light. I had been looking forward to that game.

So yet again we are hostage to fortune when it comes to injuries to key players. I hope that the lesson has been learned which is that we MUST secure a class replacement NOW, tall, tough, experienced and skilful. Sadly, Murty's Saints future is now in long term doubt.
-
Imho the worst scenario would have been a draw. Getting out of the relegation zone (now 14 points to make up) has to be our only priority.
-
We have less than a week to sign Saejs. We need him. Murty's injury is a serious blow, though tbf we shouldn't be relying on aged defenders in this busy league. Fortunately his injury is before the window closes, so act fast Pards!
-
That's what I heard. What a waste
-
All to the good. If we maintain our support we will attract better players in the long term, I hope.

His profile from the OS: 'A local talent, Argent hails from Basingstoke and he has made swift progress in the last seven years at Saints. A strong right back who rarely puts a foot wrong in the challenge, is also capable of getting forward and providing crosses.' Who has seen him play? Should we be releasing him (if true)?
-
Bialkowski, Murty, Thomas, Lancashire, Harding, James, Gillett, Schneiderlin, Mellis, Saganowski, Lambert. Subs: Thomson, Gobern, Lallana, Paterson, Wotton I've put Ollie in preference to Perry, cos I think two matches a week are too much for Perry. And playing Bart because he needs match experience. The result is immaterial. I wonder if Pards will put Pulis on the bench?

According to Sky Sports: 'Player Rating 5: Below Average - Some faults, out-of-touch' Sounds not too promising.

How do you know if Lowe considered the rake and closeness to the pitch of significance to the atmosphere of the stadium? You are guessing and fabricating.
-
Contradiction there. Couldn't be a better decision if you say the rake and closeness was wrong.
-
What's wrong with the Northern taking over Kingsland? Could be the answer. Then everyone could hear you.

I have always contended that the 'off-the-shelf' design of St Mary's has been a problem because the stadium needs a full house to stoke up the atmosphere (and intimidation to visitors) that we had at The Dell and that other grounds have, which is worth a few points - and certainly kept us in the top division for more than a few seasons when we were at The Dell. Our home results then were formidable. True, we had some good seasons and wins at St Mary's in The Prem, but they were not the norm. If we can't bring the seats closer to the pitch another solution could be to install sound reflectors in the roof. (Every little helps.)

So true. I often feel we have ended up with the team our rubbish supporters deserve.
