Even considering that Lowe might have thought that Poortvliet and Wotte were skilled in their jobs (he had been considering appointing them years ago), what I cannot understand is how Lowe could have had no inkling that the two disparate characters might not work harmoniously together. I would start with Pato in preference to Ras and Saga, but it would be interesting to see Lambert play with all three at different times, though that wouldn't be good tactics.
