This is a very sad day. Fonte has been a Saints legend during our progress from League 1 to the Prem. There is more to this than Les Reed's bland, cold statement. Fonte has been a powerhouse for Saints, and his leadership on and off the field has been immense. So he's gone to a flawed though ambitious club. What is the atmosphere in our dressing room now? The club needs leadership and I am not seeing it. Very worried. Thanks Jose for all you have done for Saints. You will never be forgotten.

I'm critical of Puel, but more so of Les Read, because he has the power to give Puel the striker with the skills to replace either of Mane or Pele whom he sold too cheaply.

So all we have to do is keep VVD, and it's ok to lose by only one goal to nil each match. What planet are Puel and his masters on?

Much better that we do that against Liverpool and in the Final than for the FA Cup when we might just be that closer to relegation and less able to risk experimenting with a weakened team.
