Steve Cooper seems to be the option that fits best - suspect he will be out of a job at the end of the season. Think that’s a realistic and good level appointment. Carrick as a slightly left field option if Boro don’t go up in the play offs, but I don’t think he’d leave the North East for us. Potter - not a chance in hell. That’s got Palace or West Ham appointment for next season all over it. Mark Robins - done an excellent job at Cov with next to no budget, play some decent stuff, wouldn’t be the worst appointment. Probably won’t be any of these obviously, will be an inexperienced overseas manager (sorry, I meant coach).
-
I will miss him when he goes and he’s been decent, but that’s hardly an accolade when it’s probably been our worst 18 months ever in the Prem.
-
We’ve got the grand total of… 4 points against the top 10. Whoop de fcking do. Can you hear yourself speaking? Not sure if it’s missed your gaze, but were rock bottom of the premier league and going down.
-
Don’t see why not - not everyone who gets relegated sells every sellable asset going. Sander Berge, Ismaila Sarr, Joao Pedro, Max Aaron’s just a few off the top of my head that are still with their clubs. He’s a very good talent, but still has a lot of work to do.

A pretty accurate summary of our season in one match. - Can put in a performance when there is zero expectation - as soon as there’s any sort of pressure, they bottle it - mentally weak throughout the team - poor GK - a glimpse of seeing what some of these younger players could be capable of, if they’d have recruited the proper experience to go with it - the feeling of “it wouldn’t have taken much to not be in the shit we are”
-
That’s the million dollar question and based on what we’ve seen so far, absolutely not.
-
Maybe the plan is to clear the decks of the deadwood/failing staff members, install people they are happy to run the club and leave them to it? Don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect them to bring in their own people.
-
Imagine Blackmore’s getting edgy that his mate Semmens might be up next.
-
We could bring in Pep for the remaining games, we’d still go down. It’s far too late.
-
There’s no real point in playing him - we can’t cross for shit anyway.

“There are six listed directors. Directors’ remuneration totalled to £1.89m with the highest-paid individual director receiving £831,000 (2021: £971,000).”
-
£831,000 - if that is the director in question.
-
Championship games stop still during the breaks. The following season in League 1 will be fine though 😉

What a player Dusan was for those two seasons.

What are you on about? Literally no-one is saying Bazunu is a better GK than Forster. You seemed to be using Forster getting a call up to carry the drinks as some form of stick to beat Bazunu with, odd. You also seem to forget that FF chose NOT to sign a new contract and left on a free, we didn’t pick Bazunu over him. We get it, you think he’s sh*t (as I’m sure most fans do), banging on about it every week is tedious. He’s no worse than what else we have, so just got to get on with it and get behind him (and the rest of the team).

West Ham v Saints - Lose Saints v Man City - Win Saints v Palace - Lose Arsenal v Saints - Draw Saints v Bournemouth - Lose Newcastle v Saints - Win Forest v Saints - Lose Saints v Fulham - Win Brighton v Saints - Draw Saints v Liverpool - Win 14 points, easy.

So perhaps the fittest human in history could fill that role I hear you say…?
-
On the basis he doesn’t actually save anything I would have to disagree.
-
What players will you miss, should they leave, when we go down?
ErwinK1961 replied to Dman's topic in The Saints
There’s not an ounce of mental fortitude amongst the squad, so wouldn’t miss any of them (maybe JWP as it’s rare to see that longevity, but he’s also weak). Facts are we will likely lose Lavia, JWP, KWP, Salisu, ABK. You might get the likes of Che who think they are better than they actually are and try for a Prem move. The rest we won’t be able to shift and will be stuck with, floundering in the championship. -
Didn’t they also use that away fans fund (cant remember how that came about) to decorate and neaten up the away fans concourse, whereas most other clubs used it to subsidise travel / ticket prices for their own fans?
-
Unlikely in Yorkshire I’m afraid.

Sums it up for me. Bit meh, but probably best we can do in the circumstances - we’re down anyway realistically so a bit of positivity through the club between now and end of season will hopefully set up a promotion charge next season.
-
Not a chance in hell we’re staying up, so get someone in to try and install a bit of positivity for the promotion push next year. If that’s Selles on a caretaker basis to end of season then so be it. New man to takeover in the summer when we might have a bit more choice in conjunction with the level we’re at.
