When you say “the right kit”, what do you mean? One that you like? There’s some on here who love it, some who hate it, some ambivalent either way. You’re never going to get a kit that everyone single person loves.

It’s nothing like Nathan Jones at all though is it. That appointment made no sense whatsoever, his ‘style’ matched nothing about the club and was doomed to fail from the outset. As I said, the club have identified a style of play they think will succeed in trying to get us promoted, installed a DOF who matches the philosophy and will recruit accordingly. Joined up thinking, which makes a change from the last 18months. We’re a championship team and need to cut our cloth accordingly. The same people who are calling the club a shambles, saying how broken everything is and trotting out names like Wankerson, are also the ones saying we should be attracting a bigger name.. if everything is so wrong why would a big name touch us with a barge pole.

“Meaningless possession football” - his team scored the joint fourth most goals last season, hardly meaningless is it. It’s also reasonable to assume that we’ll have a better squad of players than he had at his disposable at Swansea. Club have identified a possession style, as this gives us the best chance of breaking down the many teams that will just sit back against us and defend next season. Its also nice to see there might actually be a strategy that will align between Wilcox, Manager and hopefully players we sign, something that has been missing since SR came in. Will Martin be the right choice? Who knows, none of us do. But posts like yours, citing sacked by Xmas and out of frying pan into fire, are just weird (and unhelpful) when he’s not even in the building yet.

He’s not staying, he’s had a move agreed for a while. Not sure why some think he’s going to stay.

One played 40 games last season. The other spent most of it impersonating Samuel L Jackson in Unbreakable.

He absolutely does deserve stick. Stuck with Ralph waaaay too long, consistently telling fans how grateful we should be to even be in the premier league (we’ve only been there 24 out of 31 seasons), whilst lamenting how hard his job is giving up his weekends to follow the team, all whilst raking in a high 6 figure salary. And whatever you think about him being sidelined by SR, HE PICKED THEM AS THE PREFERRED BUYER. Oh, and he also pushed for Selles to get the job for the rest of the season.

And most of that lot lost 25 (soon to be 26) league matches, our worst ever Prem side by some distance. Im not saying for one minute the management has been anything other than a shambles, but this group of players are the most inept, spineless, mentally weak bunch you could come across. It’s going to need a sea change across the club in the close season to change attitude and shed that loser mentally - that will take time. I can’t see us making the play offs.

Most of that lot played against Sheff Weds (scraped through on pens), Lincoln (struggled badly against and squeezed past), Blackpool (hung on for dear life) and lost to Grimsby. Good manager or bad manager, there’s no way half of that lot can be described as easily top half championship players.

Well the ones that remain own the club, so they’re obviously not going to go.

This is the key, bringing in the players to suit his system and philosophy. Hopefully they’ve learned their lessons from the last two windows.
