Wow, didn’t see that coming. JWP was colossal - interceptions, tackles, covered every blade of grass. 120mins at the weekend, then puts in a performance like that on a Tuesday. Summed up by sprinting to chase a ball down the channel in the 94th minute, he must have 6 lungs. Dont think it was a coincidence that we went rather ragged in the last ten minutes when JWP was moved out of the middle. Broja is going to be some player, enjoy him while he’s here. A word for Fraser as well, good save at the end. But biggest triumph was his distribution, so much better from him and makes a real difference. We don’t get that from McCarthy. Thought in a great team performance, Redmond was a bit underwhelming, kept giving the ball away. Also not sold on Perraud, gets caught out of position too much. Plus he seems so reluctant to get forward, lost count of the amount of times Diallo was waiting for him to make a run/overlap. But when he does, his crosses don’t seem to be the first man. Hopefully with confidence this will get better. All in all a great evening - when was the last time we stuck 4 in at home in the league? Everton under Pellegrino?

Spot on. -
For some bizarre reason, I feel we would be more likely to win at Wolves than tonight...
-
Been sent an e-ticket for the game - does anyone know if this has to be printed off, or can it be scanned on the phone? Sorry, it's been a while and feeling a bit technologically hopeless!

Will be my first game for nearly 3 years. Any recommendations for somewhere to have a quick beer beforehand (and to park)? Driving in from Bishops Waltham.

I paid the fiver to watch it on Swans TV - thought we played really well (albeit against Championship opposition), S Armstrong in CM gave us proper forward momentum. Seem to recall other than Salisu's quality OG finish, the only other chance they had was McCarthy dicking around with a passback.

3-1 actually.

Good - about time he started a bit more over the likes of Walcott. -
Champions league winning Bertrand’s profile wasn’t as big as a kid that never played a senior game of football, or a guy on loan at Vitesse?
-
Perhaps we can pinch him too.

Please be a GK..

Major concern for me is where does this leave Semmens? Hope there’s a place for him in the setup long term.
-
If he doesn’t rename the stadium to the Dragans Den then he’s missed a trick.
-
I put him in my fantasy team earlier this week for that reason, so I’m taking credit.

My favourite part is the bit where they are talking about how good a sweeper keeper he is, and the screenshot used is where Chelsea are 3-0 down away to relegation fodder West Brom after 30mins.

Seem to remember most Arsenal players looking a bit peeved that they did score, think they were trying to get Emery out at the time.

Never seen someone so obsessed with another poster. Some may call that ‘cultist’ behaviour.

Suspect these ‘two’ interested parties have been in the running for a while, but wouldn’t meet Gao’s asking price. Now he’s allegedly dropped it, maybe these parties could move quickly to finalise. Come on Jim, you know it makes sense.

I’m sorry, completely disagree. Any decent premier league GK deals with that in a much better way. Wouldn’t have regarded it as a decent save at all, if he lets that in it’s a complete and utter shocker, he barely had to move. Its a shame as other than that, he did ok. But that’s the difference between relegation battles and comfortable mid table. We ambled along with Paul Jones for a few years, but when Niemi was signed we went up 2-3 levels. Hoping we can do something similar in January.

But we did at the Etihad.
-
I look forward to seeing you come on here after a 5-0 loss and say it’s a good result.

Dan Sheldon on TSP said that he spoke to people at the club re Small and if there was an FA cup match next week he’d play in it
