KD to WHU now picked up by SSN - along with Surman to Wolves, both mentioned in the last 30 minutes.

I hated Mark Dennis when he was at Brum.
-
Why should they not ? Still and always will be a Great Saint.

Finished reading Constant Paine only last night, a superb read by David Bull. Whilst on holiday on the IOW during the 60's my Dad and I came over on the ferry for an August midweek game against Leeds and stayed at the same hotel where the team gathered before home games. Both TP and Tony Knapp spent at least 30 minutes chatting to us before climbing onto the team bus to the Dell. What chance any of today's so-called stars would even acknoweldge fans, let alone spend time with them ?

Yep, I was gutted too. A real Saint shown the door due to someone else's ego.
-
Give me strength. I rest my case.

Crab Lungs - you know your average football fan is as thick as sh*t, and Saints have always had more than their fair share as evidenced by some of the dross that inhabit this forum, and highlighted by this thread. I hope Surman stays but good luck to him should he move on to a club that befits a player who until recently was an England U21 regular.

Well done to KD, but when the 'keeper wins the award you know its been a crap season.
-
Hazarding a guess, invited by Fry.
-
Used to love watching him, Steve Williams and Steve Moran - the kids playing with the likes of Keegan,Channon and Boyer and not looking out of place. Wish our kids today had half their talent.

Graham Baker, from those great 80's teams of ours, appointed manager of newly-relegated Woking according to the Beeb website. Nice little club to cut his management teeth.

No matter how hard I try, and I know it wasnt all down to him, but whenever I think of Prutton (which aint often) I see that open goal he missed at WBA and the relegation that followed. No thank you.
-
Surman for me too.
-
I thought that the entire team played very well for the full 90 minutes - but not so well for the added 3 minutes! You could almost have written the script that they would put themselves under a bit of unnecessary pressure just to keep us fans interested to the end ! Save for their 3 corners at the death Palace offered diddly squat, probably the most unimaginative team this season at S.M. Thought Surman and Skacel combined to great effect down the left, especially in the 2d half.

That's football...I wish.
-
It will go down to the wire again - and again we will stay up.
-
Are you always so aggressive ? Anyway stuff you - well done boys on a wonderful result. Fantastic.
-
Well done Surman - he's our Mr Consistency as well as being our most skillful player.

Saints Greatest XI - The B Team Left Side Striker Poll

Another vote for Steve Moran - in his heyday was there anyone sharper inside the box ? -
Hear Hear ! A good guy let down by the board, fans and players alike.
-
Brill boys, well done. Is this team going to break the club record for away wins ? If they could only translate their away form into home wins we would be comfortable. Time for the hypnotists ?

The Official Saints Web "He Could Do A Good Job For Us" Thread

Paul Telfer, if we could prise him away from Elland Road, but would he want to leave for a smaller club? -
Agree with Telfs and Williams - both terrific signings. From a different era, I never thought David Armstrong go the acclaim he deserved for scoring some important goals altho realise he was playing with KK and Moran amongst others.

The downside will be that with no overseas market to buy from the Prem clubs will concentrate even more on plundering young players from the likes of Saints.
