Imagine missing out on a place in the squad to Kalvin Phillips time after time despite him hardly playing, moving club to improve your international chances, don’t get picked for the Euros, and then have to listen to Southgate bemoan not having a replacement for Phillips 😂😂 Can we sack him after the group stage and bring in Jose for the next round? Is that allowed?

Feels weird saying it, but Come On Germany!!

I played one of the old Football Aid charity matches at St Mary’s alongside Phil back in 2006 I think it was. Had no idea who he was or what he did, but he was truly a really really nice bloke, and proper friendly to all. Amazing later hearing the stories of his life in the armed forces and beyond, alongside some admirable charity work. Goes completely against the stereotype of a guy who enjoyed a trip to Mecca bingo in Portswood quite often!! Love that he bought a suitcase full of booze, what a character.

What a legend. Not too dissimilar to my reaction at the full time whistle too. Great to see so many ex-saints in attendance yesterday. Myself personally saw Aaron Martin, one of the Wallace brothers, and Peter Rodrigues outside the ground. Pete looks really well for 80 which was great to see. Good that the club were able to invite so many former saints to enjoy the day.

On the bingo bus, which despite this coach selling out is only 2/3 full so I’ve got two seats to myself. Good atmosphere at St Mary’s earlier, bought myself a bacon roll, well it had one slice of bacon and one slice akin to a pork scratching. Surprisingly calm about today, yeah I’d absolutely love to go straight back up, but it’s football, shit happens. Maybe I’m just too scarred from my last trip here in the EFL to get myself excited. Oh, and @Turkish I picked you up a key ring in the club shop, hope you like it.

Did tickets make it to the fans with no membership stage of sales?

Tickets released 15 minutes early it seems, it let me buy mine before changing the site to a waiting room page.

Even though I’ve been to plenty of home games this season I’ve still been had to buy a membership to try and secure a ticket, bit of a naughty money spinner by the club. If anyone fancies all going in a box and splitting the cost I’m game, only £600 per person 😂

What a night that was. It was like a Wembley final outside the ground, the atmosphere and the electricity in the air, you could just tell everyone was bang up for it. The photos and videos of the bus arriving are class too, like many I thought it could be a bit noddy but the fans that turned up were a credit to the club.

Once again we get the west side of Wembley. Absolute fucking joke that 26000 tickets go to corporates and freebies.

VAR could instantly be improved with 2 changes. Firstly a 60 second limit on reviews for handballs and fouls, if it takes that long it’s not a clear and obvious error, and secondly with offsides if the lines have to touch to prove they’re offside then benefit of the doubt is given to the attacker. There should be daylight between those lines to be considered offside for me.

Fair play to wolves for triggering the vote. It’s a fantastic idea, being horrifically executed.

If you’re coming down via the M3 you might be better placed to park to the north of the stadium as seen on a map so maybe look at the Royal South Hants hospital, big open air car park and well placed to get back on The Avenue. Grosvenor Square is a good shout too. Edited just now by bpsaint
