  1. Have a feeling this is going to be one of those games where we'd be happy with a draw, but afterwards will be cursing our luck that we've not won.
  2. Have to be honest, even though Pompey are **** the game today was a League One team against Premiership, and I couldn't help but think that as the game went on we'd tire and struggle to match their fitness and end up paying for it,and thats exactly what happened! We just didnt have the legs to prevent the last 2 goals.
  3. Not quite, seeing as Season Tickets didnt go on sale until after we had been taken over. Personally I think priority should go to ST holders, then the fans who have been to most JPT games, not just the Area Final. There were only 9000 odd people at the first game against Torquay,14000 against Charlton and 15000 against Norwich. Where were all the plastics that came out in force last night as we were within touching distance of Wembley?
  4. Tickets are available online again.
  5. That own goal is pure class! Their goal was every bit as shocking as I remember it though,3 players trying to head the same ball!!!
  6. Just about to leave for the game, and to be honest i've got a few nerves about the whole thing. I know people have called it a Mickey Mouse cup etc etc but none of that matters to me,we've been through some real **** in the past few seasons, two relegations, administration, missing out on the play off final by the skin of our teeth in the 06-07 season, they have all been ****e experiences and all of us, EVERYONE, who supports Saints deserves a bit of joy, a chance to forget all the crap we've been through and have a bit of a day out at Wembley. Yes i'd rather we were top of league right now but **** it, lets make do with what we've got, sing our hearts out tonight, and roar the team on to Wembley. COYR!!!
  7. This will be lucky number 7 for me. I'm desperate to lay those ghosts of 4-1 and 'Amarillo' to rest.
  8. Nice to have a proper Saints fan writing about them for the echo to be honest, compared to some of the other fools they have in the sports section. Oh,and didnt Dan used to post under the name Maverick on Saintsforever?
  9. Couldn't see this anywhere else but for anyone interested the FA Cup is coming to St Marys on Feb 4th. Seems to be aimed mostly at families and kids with some of the activities on offer but it does give everyone a chance to hold the cup....if they can't wait till it comes to St Marys again in May of course Its free to attend but pre-registration is required. http://www.facuptrophytour.co.uk/
  10. On the one hand,I agree with you,I'd hate to see Niemi lining against us in a Pompey shirt as i'd like to remember him as a bit of a Saints legend. However... On the other hand , if his last performance in a southcoast derby is anything to go by, then i'd love to see him play against us!!
  11. Watching it now on Football First, all those empty seats are an embarrassment. One of the most important games of their season so far and they can't even sell out? Best fans in the world my arse.
  12. Interesting question, when was the last time Saints were shown live on ITV?

    Spiders

****ing hate spiders, yet still feel compelled to look at things like this out of curiosity.
  14. Thats what I thought too,I know they did ban him taking his bell in though as it was an offensive weapon. Still remember the "ding dong ding dong, wheres your bell gone" chant.
  15. You know what,**** it. My earlier reaction to the draw was due to the fact that on paper they're clearly a stronger squad than us and I did fear humiliation on our own patch. But its the FA Cup, and its a special competition. We've got nothing to lose but for a bit of pride, but as others have said we're the League One club and we're expected to lose so the pressures on them, who knows what kind of position they'll be in by then, but we can fully expect Pardew to make it very clear to the team just what this game means, and to send the players out there with no fear and some fire in their bellies. I was there that day we lost 4-1 at Nottarf, its a wound that still hasn't healed, the sound of 17,000 of them ****ers singing Amarillo, whilst all we could do was stand there and take it. I'd love to put that ghost to bed,if Leeds can go to Old Trafford and beat United then we've got nothing, NOTHING to be afraid of! Bring on the webbed feet, incestuous, inbred ****wits, I can't wait!!
  16. Wish I could say I was excited, but I fear embarassment on our own turf.
  17. Looking forward to Aliens vs Predator finally getting a release on a console, the trailers look pretty good so far. Also looking forward to the follow up to Batman:Arkham Asylum which has been pencilled in for June . Loved the first one,was a touch on the short side though.
  18. Just finished watching the 4th season of Dexter, and for me it was certainly the best to date. Won't spoil it for the fans yet to watch it but the ending really was a shocker, didn't see it coming at all! So glad to see Michael C.Hall win a much deserved Golden Globe last night, shocked to hear he is battling cancer but it appears he'll make a full recovery which is great. Congratulations also to Jon Lithgow for his Best Supporting Actor win,he was exceptional as The Trinity Killer. Looking forward to the final season of Lost which begins soon, theres a lot of loose ends need tying up and I hope really it finishes with a bang and not a whimper.
  19. Without trying to be too much a Star Wars fanboy,Return Of The Jedi wasn't directed by George Lucas either.
  20. I was there when he came out for a warm down after the match, some of our fans gave him grief, he gave a bit back and our fans threw their toys out the pram. Has everyone forgot we've already faced one of his teams, Sunderland in the 06/07 season, since then?
  21. As many others have said Arse or Liverpool away for me would be nice. They're both grounds that I really want to go to,and as we'd be expected to lose anything else would be a bonus.
  22. I'll never forget Mario Licka for one reason. Mrs Licka :smt055
  23. Official club statement from Pompey is that the reason nobody has been paid is because a file wasn't loaded at the bank properly!? They're scraping the barrel for excuses now.
  24. Could well of just been an arsehole phone support guy. After a year of owning my first PS3 one day it decided to just stop reading discs, searched on google and the like and found it'd happened to a few other people. Phoned up Sony and the guy said it was quite a common problem and they'd have it collected. A guy turned up the next day, took it away in a plastic box and it was returned within a week, been fine since.
  25. Best: Arsenal 3-2 at the Dell, Coming back from 0-3 down to draw 3-3 against Liverpool earlier that season, beating the Skates 2-1 with the last minute Crouchy penalty, Norwich 4-3, Spurs 4-0,and as well as the 3-3 draw with Newcastle the 1-1 in the same fixture the season before was just as entertaining. Worst: a few in the relegation season of 04-05,notably Villa and Everton at home, and losing 4-1 at Fratton. 'That' loss to Tranmere, Watford 5-2.
