The addition of Calderwood to our coaching team could well prove the best signing we’ve made this season. Essentially “another” clean sheet for our defence today. There’s no doubt they’re looking incredibly well drilled of late.

Had to be patient but we got there. Going to see a lot more of that second half of the season, teams coming to frustrate and it wasn’t too long ago we’d have drawn or lost that tonight. Shame about the Baz brain fart and the effect on GD but if we do go on to overtake Ipswich I don’t think that will matter in the end anyway. In someways it may get do him good to have that happen as a harsh reminder about complacency. That being said I wish we had Plymouth’s keeper in our goal. Cracking week of results that.

Almost a perfect day of results really. Would have preferred a Leicester win as nobody is catching them and the effect it would have on Ipswich’s goal difference but still a very good day for us.

What a win that is, even I’m starting to believe now! Impossible to pick a MOTM out of that, everyone has been a 7 at a minimum. One thing I will say is this Aribo of the last 5 or so games has been like a new signing for us. Get another attacker in next week, ideally a striker, and I think we could do it.

The likes of Downes, Edozie and THB could really excel in the Prem,if, and it’s a big fucking if for us, we were to go out and spend some money on proven older Premier League players that they could play alongside and learn from. That’s the concern if we were to go up though, we’ll go down the Sports Republic route of trying to be cleverer than most and sign a load of kids that aren’t good enough and we’ll be back down in the Championship ready to do it all again.
