I questioned this last season as I too was fucked off that we started handing over the whole of the Northam when we never used to. The reply I got from the club was that it’s now done under police advice to get some kind of licence. I replied asking why we can’t just carry on using the segregation in the concourse and add extra netting to reduce their allocation as per the rules but never got an answer. Load of bollocks if you ask me, isn’t that much different to a normal match day.

Yet every other club seems quite capable of doing it. To fail to get someone in during a 3 month summer window was incompetent, to not have had someone lined up at the start of the January window when we needed it the most was suicidal. Too much time spent fucking around looking for the cheap moneyball option that they can cash in on later rather than just putting their hand in their pocket and paying the asking price on a player very likely to succeed at this level.

If we fail to bring in a striker in the next 24 hours he should be asked to tender his resignation, as it will just confirm the already high likelihood of our relegation. Wish the fan base wasn’t so passive these days, Semmens et al have had a very easy ride this far.

Yep, that’s my main takeaway from today, I never want to see AMN in a Saints shirt ever again. Perraud is a better player than he gets credit for and should be playing regularly, not tucking about with KWP or Lyanco at LB, square pegs in square holes etc Seeing how much we struggled today convinced me we will need to make about 10 new signings when we go down as some of this lot are not up to the championship. Lastly, I’m genuinely disappointed that we’ve played Sheff Weds, Blackpool and Lincoln in the cup this season and none of the U21s have had a look in. It goes against everything we apparently stand for, “the Southampton way”, no wonder Morgan is looking to leave.

Hopefully if there a any good to come of that, it’s that’s the club might take away fans in the home end a bit more seriously

A lot of hard done by crying on here about various aspects of the game last night. Truth is we got exactly what we deserved, fuck all. We did not play well enough to get anything out of the game, and the same old flaws were there for all to see. That City performance really was a one off, and any of you travelling up to SJP next week have my upmost respect knowing that Jones and his team are very likely to let us all down again

Indeed. We were well in with a shout of staying up if we had made the right appointment instead of jones, one that actually gave us a bounce, someone who quite clearly wasn’t so incredibly out of his depth. Ive resigned myself to the sad reality that we’re stuck with him until it’s too late. In fact I fully expect him to be in charge next season before finally getting the sack after 10 games when a promotion charge is already well out of reach.
