I had it within about 2 weeks tbf

I’m hoping before the window ends that we might bring in another sides captain to provide us with some leadership and experience out on the pitch, as we did when we signed then Colchester captain Dean Hammond.
-
I feel like they missed a massive trick by not doing a run with Draper Tools on the front when they were announced as one of our sponsors, I reckon a lot of fans would have lapped them up for nostalgic value. As an aside following my purchase of a DH gate home knock off I’ve ordered a third shirt from there to see what it’s like. Has anyone bought their white kit? If so how good is it by comparison to the real thing?

Not surprised, we knew it was coming, just a shame it’s to a shit team like West Ham. Guess that’s what happens though when you’re not as good as people make out and nobody else comes in for you. If Hammers fans are expecting him to fill the shoes of Rice they’re going to be disappointed. I’d laugh my bollocks off if they got relegated this season and we went up.

Loving the honesty from Russell regarding some of the players tonight, kind of why I’m glad this result happened, so he has seen for himself just how shite some of the squad players are and what we’ve had to endure for the past couple of years. Hopefully it means it’s the last time we see some of the useless cunts.

Not going to panic, in a lot of ways I’m glad Martin has managed to see for himself just how poor some of the squad are, and hopefully we see some transfer activity as a result. Let’s be thankful it happened in a nothing game rather than an important league match.
-
That’s what I’m hanging on to.

Hopefully Russell uses this game as a way to see what the non first choice XI can do in a competitive game. It’s a long season and we’re going to need a lot of players, no reason we can’t ring the changes AND respect the competition.

Given how dangerous he was in the championship last season I think the club should just take a hardline stance basically and tell him he’s not going anywhere. His potential value if he can recreate the form he showed last season is way more than a replacement would cost. To be fair if I was Tella I would tell Burnley to get stuffed. He’s without doubt one of the main reasons they so comfortably got promoted last season, but they’re repaying that faith by trying to lowball us and basically say he’s not worth what we value him at. Same goes for JWP really, if West Ham want to make a derisory bid for a player that should bring in at least £30 mill I’d be feeling pretty unvalued.

Massive monkey off our backs and potential banana skin avoided. Che has to start, not a huge improvement up top but an improvement none the less. I’d rather keep him and aid our promotion even if we do lose him for nothing next year. If we can get a bit more end product to go with the tippy tappy passing we’ll have a brilliant season.

Can’t believe people would be happy to sell Stu

Seen enough to know that if we do not sign a striker, and if Adam Armstrong keeps featuring we will not get promoted this season

Make a change for fuck sake!!

Maybe he has a meeting with his coaching team before going to the players at half time? Not seen it before but there’s a logic there if that’s the case. We took our foot off the gas towards the end of the half I agree, perhaps to conserve energy? Games this season could easily approach 2 hours long with the new rules.

Stop the count 😂

What a goal!!!

Dodgy defender. Need a leader back there so badly.

Where’s the best place to watch footy in town these days where it’s easy to get to the bar and there’s a good atmosphere?

Another one that needed to piss off. Hopefully we reinvest quickly
-
I dunno, he did set up the goat at Leeds which edged us closer to promotion. Aside from that though yeah you’re right, never thought of his transfer as anything but a commercial decision to gain some exposure in the far east
-
Are those numbers meant to be impressive? No wonder we’re so shit up front.
-
If Adam Armstrong gets 16 I’ll give £100 to a charity of your choice. I don’t think he’ll even get into double figures.

Caught in no man’s land for the first goal, and almost gifted them a 3rd at 2-1 short passing it straight to a Bournemouth player, only Smallbone saved us from conceding.
