One of the issues now is there are multiple secondary sites now selling tickets to our home games. Either sold on by scalpers or our own fans that have access to restricted sales and want to cash in. https://www.p1travel.co.uk/organizer/southampton-fc-tickets/?gclid=CjwKCAjw586hBhBrEiwAQYEnHQ6EBO6-ea7ruuIGmZla--3RUq7BGYPQars0_tGy0Hi-zhu2YnxTexoCIDcQAvD_BwE Take that one for example, states that you have to be a home supporter but that’s just a box tick exercise, they don’t care either way.

Unless we are going to sack Selles and bring in a replacement before the weekend then we can fully expect the same dross as has been served up all season. We know it’s a game where if we pick the correct XI and actually take the game to the opposition we can get something out of, instead It’ll likely be more crab football and no shots on targets. We might get lucky and they miss as many chances as Leicester did but the hammering of Leeds yesterday shows they’ve got a bit more about them with Woy in charge.

No VAR, no plastic fans, no light shows, more 3pm kick offs, the expectation to get points from every game instead of ‘hoping’ to get something against the top 6, new away grounds, better atmosphere, more games. The club and city take a hit with relegation that much is true, but for the match going fan its probably going to be a welcome change for a little while.

Bournemouth to relegate us by winning at St Mary’s I reckon. Repaying us for doing it to them.
-
If they had any sense whatsoever they would do something like start them at £300 for an adult and pack the ground out. Christ even I would probably buy one again.
-
Thought the same watching that! Probably not watched it since 2005, that first tackle alone is nuts!!
-
I’m sure there’s still someone on here that would have said something along the lines of “he’s shit, wouldn’t score goals here, overrated championship striker” Remember when some posters didn’t want Eddie Howe here in place of Ralph? The mind boggles.

I’d feel more confident about gaining promotion next season with Bournemouth and Forest coming down with us, rather than 2 of West Ham, Leicester or Everton.
-
I’m almost starting to think Rasmus wants us to go down, whilst making it look like SR are trying to keep us up, just so he can play the hero next season masterminding promotion and do a load of TED talks about how brilliant he is.
-
If you’ve got 3 interested parties all willing to pay the same amount, but two of those parties are slightly richer but admit they want to bin you off, and the other want to keep you on in a 6 figure salary role which one would you put forward as the best option? Semmens has already admitted he was the lead man behind the decision in an interview.
-
Something we’ll always be left asking unfortunately. One would presume Semmens went for SR as it was the only party that promised to keep him in his cushty little position instead of bringing in a new CEO.

Yes it probably is. On the surface of it things may seem as simple as we get relegated and then absolute boss the league next season, however the Championship and League 1 are full of teams like us, who have had a spell in the sun and now are fighting to get back there. Sure we won’t break the top 6/7 with the funds those teams have at their disposal, however if we fail to prepare for our spell out of the Prem properly then we along with about 20 other teams join a fight for just 3 promotion slots. The League 1 and Championship promotion seasons were amongst my favourite supporting us, however we had a budget way beyond that of many sides, and had a Premier League quality spine in the team. It’s a bit more of a even playing field down there now with FFP, and we’ve certainly got some dross we need to get rid of before we look like we’ll be a threat down there. Then of course you have to factor in the job losses across all departments in the club, especially if instant promotion isn’t gained and the parachute payments dry up. Not to mention of course the effect the drop in attendances has on the wider city economy, and the job losses lower footfall brings. Realistically being a top tier side brings a certain prestige to a city, and the whole thing runs deeper than just playing in a lesser league next year. Frankly relegation will be a disaster for us.

I can just imagine the summer being linked with Rodgers and Potter, and then Steve Bruce gets announced.
-
Go fuck yourself. Sick of this shit.
-
Both these cunts had better be made to tender their resignations in the summer. Part of Sports Republic they may be but we know Solak is the money man. Selles and everyone else on the back room staff need to go too, the whole fucking lot, and start again afresh.
-
I mean why go for a proven winner like Rodgers when we’ve got the Spanish Nathan Jones.
-
I often wonder how that final would have gone if we’d made use of Martin Cáceres instead of playing Stephens. Such a weird signing, had a half decent CV too. Edit: just adding to the theme of crap signings, Patrick Colleter is one that always stands out for me.
-
They were miles away not long ago the cunts. There’s always someone that comes from nowhere and sneaks it, they’ve got the momentum now. Hopefully if they make it they get blown away by their opponents, don’t want to go down and have to play them next year if our squad gets ripped apart this summer. Really disappointed with Bournemouth winning today, knowing that a win tomorrow would have seen us climb out the relegation zone at last.
-
This seasons kit wouldn’t have been so bad if it’d had red under the arms too à la 99/01. I don’t know what’s wrong with the clowns on our commercial team but if they came up with a simple tidy red and white striped kit, without a plain back, and released it at the end of May so it’s available all summer they’d sell thousands of the things.
-
Because the booing is unwarranted for what he bought to the team, and likely prevented us from a much earlier relegation than this season. Just because he could see the writing was on the wall and didn’t want to sign a new deal.
-
I expect some of our moron fans to boo Ings, then cry when he scores a brace and cups his ear to the away fans
-
I really hope I never have the misfortune of being sat behind some weirdos that want to spend the whole game filming themselves and providing a shit commentary.
-
We’d be better off sticking Prowsey on the wing and putting crosses in to tall Paul seeing as no other cunt can cross a ball properly.
-
Probably raise our game enough to earn at least a point before getting pumped by West Ham to dash everyone’s hopes again
-
Crab football. Some people might be fooled by our possession stats but it means nothing if we’re not creating chances and scoring goals. He’s part of the deadwood that needs to be cleared this summer.
