With the parking restrictions in and around the city centre and the inner avenue you might find it easier to park somewhere around Bitterne Train Station and make the short walk across Northam Bridge before and after the game (or jump on a bus). At least that way afterwards you’ll avoid the gridlock of the city centre and will be able to head over Cobden Bridge to Thomas Lewis Way and join the motorway home.

Was hoping to see some intensity this match with a clearer purpose of how we intend to set out our stall at Spurs next week - can’t say I’m particularly encouraged by that first half performance.

The angle of the picture suggests he’s in a bog standard seat anyway - if he was currently completing a transfer I think the club would be looking after him a bit better and he’d likely be in the club box.

He’s from Southampton isn’t he? One for the future maybe but doesn’t help us in the short term if he is someone we’ve got an eye on.

A below average Prem keeper? Surely you don’t actually believe that do you Chez? Surely someone like Alex McCarthy is a below average Prem keeper. Not a league and fa cup winning one like Schmeichel. I respect your opinion of course, it’s interesting hearing a different viewpoint as I believed him to be very highly rated.

Surely the quality of a signing is based on what he has acheived at his current club, not what he did in the past. 2 goals from 28 league and cup appearances from a striker is pretty disastrous.

Wow, never thought they’d have that opinion of him. He’s been an incredible player for them, and would be very hard to replace IMO.

Is there a more local derby than that in the English football pyramid I wonder? (Not including teams that ground share) Have Saints always been involved with this or did we only just start up again recently? I know we’ve won it a silly amount of times before but figured we stopped entering it years ago.

Went to the game this evening, enjoyed it more than I thought I would, could feel the sense of occasion and the atmosphere whilst different was genuinely decent. Fair play to the Norn Iron fans for keeping singing throughout. The whole thing certainly put our piss poor match day atmosphere to shame.

Looks a decent signing on paper - best case scenario he has a decent couple of years here then gets snapped up by one of the big 6. Worst case he’s another Djenepo. The cynic in me is curious why Gerrard didn’t try to take him to Villa if he was that good and the price that low 🤔
