  1. Starting to wonder if McCarthy is a mute. Never hear him bellowing to organise his defence, and when we concede a stupid goal as a result of our error he just has this look of “oh well, never mind” about him. People say it’s counter productive, but when the defence fucks up I want to see a keeper up on their feet given said players a good fucking rollicking, A good goalie should behave like a second captain, and help marshall that back line, it’s absolute basics.
  2. I have zero faith in this team or management anymore. I know it’s only 1 game in but for me it’s just rolled over from last season. Us 1 - 6 Utd.
  3. Same shit different season, combine our opening day record and our record at Goodison and it was never going to be a good day was it. Go 1 up, play well, concede against the run of play and collapse like a fucking Jenga tower. We’re just so mentally fucking weak. We’re like someone being tortured for information that gives up just having their feet tickled. Honestly it’s been an issue now for years, we’ve got as much backbone as a fucking worm.
  4. Almost as bad as when we gave the first post MLT number 7 shirt to Andrej Kanchelskis.
  5. Regardless of their issues or fans lack of belief for the season I’m still saying home banker, 3-0, and this forum promptly implodes.

    Danny Ings

Suppose you could argue the point that not only is Danny the reason Ralph still has a job, he’s probably the reason we’re still a Premier League club - in fact I’d say without his goals we’d have been fucked quite frankly. So aside from the transfer fee we’ve received he’s probably helped the club earn over £200 million in revenue. Not bad business really.

No short term about it - Villa are a bigger club then we could ever hope to be.
  9. Ol’ Rupes said that it would cost the same price as the stadium cost to build, £32 mill, to expand the Chapel, Kingsland and Northam to a 48’000 capacity. That was 20 years ago though so who knows what price it would be allowing for inflation. The foundations are in place should we wish to do so. Shame the new improvements don’t include replacing the tired pink seats - made a huge difference to the Stadium of light since they did theirs.
  10. Even though the thought of Lancashire in a Saints shirt still gives me nightmares I do like the concept. It makes sense for the players coming through to play alongside and learn from seasoned professionals to aid that transition to the first team. Crazy to think there’s a generation of fans now that never knew what it was like to have a reserve side, where the up and coming academy talent would play alongside fringe first team players as well as those returning from injury.

    Coronavirus

“Despite his struggle with the virus, Mr Harmon still said he would reject being jabbed, saying his religious faith would protect him. Prior to his death, had joked about the pandemic and vaccines, sharing memes saying he trusted the Bible over top US disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci.” Idiot that believes in fairytales over science ends up dying. Perhaps he should have picked up a textbook rather than a bible. Don’t know who is the most dangerous, anti-vaxxers or religious folk.
  12. Looks like a unit already and he’s only 19, local lad too - has the potential to be a good deal for us and him.

    Danny Ings

Fuck him, if he wants to turn down the club that gave him a chance when others wrote him off so be it. I’d have thought a long term high wage deal would have been tempting for a player that’s had two ACL ruptures previously as well as 4 separate injuries last season. Sell high and reinvest…
  14. Back to back semi finals at major tournaments - fair to say I’m not used to this feeling. Started slow and now the momentum has us flying, actually feel we’ll steam roll through a side containing Hojbjerg and Vestergaard, especially with the Wembley crowd behind us.
  15. Spurs fans on social media tonight are having a good go at it 🤣
  16. Didn’t realise how much I wanted to win this until that second goal went in. What an atmosphere at Wembley that was this evening, only half full too, mental!
  17. Nice to see a pundit mention how overrated Ronaldo is when it comes to free kicks. KDB off, that’s a huge blow for Belgium
  18. Played with a guy that went on to play at Hampshire league level that was that way inclined too. He had zero interest in the game, except playing it, and he happened to be decent! He didn’t even support anyone, I could never get my head around it. Fair play to Telfer, assuming you don’t end up with a job in the media or coaching I imagine life could get quite boring once you’ve retired and you’re still in your thirties.
  19. I’m guessing you’ve subscribed then? Her lips are fucking ridiculous though let’s not beat around the bush.
  20. Got nothing against the girl, she might be lovely - don’t understand this porn star wannabe mindset behind only fans, where average looking birds get their tits out for sad blokes to pay money and drool over. Especially when you’re married to the son of a famous footballer and have young kids.
  21. Christ, I’ve not looked but I can only guess it’s fish lips. Mitch must be so proud.
  22. Yep, shame Southgate never had the balls to take him off against Croatia in the semi final when it was clear we need a change. Look forward to watching this England side with a more forward thinking manager in charge, Southgate is clueless.
  23. All I got yesterday when I tried to have a rational discussion with him was different replies calling me a twat, most have been deleted now tbf. I deduced that he has an anger problem, lacks the ability to have a reasoned grown up debate, is probably 14 years old, and maybe retarted. Or most likely, all of the above.
  24. The knee doesn’t offend me, I said it’s a pointless gesture that has lost all meaning. If you read my posts properly you’ll see that I hoped it would be a force for change but nothings really happened. I’d much rather the likes of Kick It Out or a new anti racism in football charity came to the forefront, rather than one which now has some murky crossover with the BLM movement as seen in the States. Of course white people have issues with similar crimes against themselves, the difference is we’re not blaming centuries of oppression, or black privilege for our actions. There is a serious issue with black on black crime in this country, do the research, watch the news, take your head out the sand and stop shouting “Racist” at anyone that dare hold a different view to yourself. If anyone’s behaving like an angry gammon it seems to be you.
  25. I know right, he probably has “be kind” on the bio of his social media account that he uses to anonymously abuse anyone that holds a view different to his. Voted Remain by the way Antrim, just didn’t cry about it when the democratic vote went the other way. Keep sending me your salty tears though, they taste too good.
