  1. Got a weird feeling we’ll start at home to Liverpool. A winnable home match would be nice though against someone like Brentford or Brighton.
  2. Booking a time slot at the tip, like we’re supposed to do, then turning up at your allotted time only to find a queue because the staff aren’t bothering to police it properly and are letting any old cunt in, so I needn’t have booked in the first place.
  3. He was shocking. Will never forget it, at that point it was only my second ever away game and having only been to The Dell I was overawed by the size of SJP. Finally climbed all those stairs to the away section to step out and see us already 2-0 down thinking well that was a waste of time. Think it was the following year I went back and the game got called off when we’d already arrived in Newcastle due to snow. Haven’t bothered trying to make that trip again, fuck that.
  4. Anyone that was unlucky enough to witness some of the defensive displays by Patrick Colleter will have seen some pretty atrocious individual performances. Im still scarred by my one trip to St James Park where I got there a couple of minutes late and we were already 2-0 down. He got hauled off at half time he was so shit.
  5. Has never been good enough for the Premier League and if he does get a contract extension he joins the list of players like McCarthy, Long and Walcott that should be nowhere near our side. Almost makes me think we’re preparing for life in the championship by offering him an extension.
  6. Was channel hopping on my iptv and came across some random match between Argentina and Italy being played at Wembley for some trophy I’d never heard of. Looked like a full house pretty much due to the appeal of Messi. Italy were shit, don’t know where that crap side was when we played them last summer.
  7. I really don’t know, the basic view on it would be that they could get another drummer in, however we know what an incredible drummer Taylor was, and how integral he was to the band, as well as basically being a brother to Dave. Losing Kurt and then Taylor he might decide fuck it and spend the rest of his days in happy retirement spending time with his family. Dave could even go solo and be a drumming frontman. Cancelling their entire tour rather than postponing it is pretty serious business though and would have come at a huge cost, that in itself may point towards the end.
  8. I didn’t realise you and Robsk were the same poster 🤣 Agreed, it’s one of the easier stadia to visit south of London for parking and transport, and holds a decent enough crowd to make it viable as a tour venue. Still holding out to one day see Muse and The Foos at St Mary’s. The thing I love about having gigs here is that I can be home in half hour rather than having to fight onto the tube, or train and have a few hours until I’m home.
  9. I laughed at an MLG joke, am I ill?
  10. They were incredible tonight. Not fair to call it the best performance this season though as Saints did set the bar ridiculously fucking low on that one. Bars were a shambles, my only gripe of the evening. That and sharing the pitch with mongs shouting blue army.
  11. Cracking city for an away day!! Watch it end up being a fucking Tuesday night.
  12. Another winners medal there for our most successful ever academy graduate.
  13. What about Owen though trying to say Liverpool are still the best team in Europe despite not winning the PL or the Champions League tonight.
  14. Beautiful
  15. Courtois has been immense tonight
  16. get in!!
  17. Thousands of ticketed fans still outside trying to get in apparently but the Liverpool end is so packed fans are standing in the aisles and stairwells. Surely not ticketless scousers causing the trouble!?
  18. Glad common sense has prevailed on this
  19. This aged well
  20. Let’s hope this works better than “Eric Black needs to go, he’s the problem”. Still believe Ralph should be following them out the door and an entire new coaching team should be bought in.
  21. Whoops.
  22. In fairness it seems he’s lived up to how most of the first 2 pages of this thread suggested he would. There’s a reason even we could afford him!
  23. If a decent offer comes in then I’d get rid and invest elsewhere. Lad is destined to be a Championship star and not much more really.
  24. Flip it around and ask another question - who would do much worse. Another piss poor performance today, which I have no doubt Ralph and his cult of followers will make excuses for and pin on their first goal ruining our game plan. The night of that West Ham cup match really was our high point of the season, it felt good to be a saints fan walking away from the stadium and things were looking up. From that point on though it’s been a slow motion car crash, and I’m so glad this season is over, just feel completely done with this club.
  25. If it stays like this I’m going to have to cheer on Leeds this Sunday, which feels very wrong. Christ imagine the unthinkable happens and Liverpool win the league, but Everton go down. Merseyside will be a laugh Sunday night!
