  1. gooner fans tend to agree... http://www.onlinearsenal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27865
  2. seen this vid on the mirrors website.. they were just talking about arse on SSN... no mention of AOC. Some of the Arse fan's comments here are interesting http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11670_6973072,00.html
  3. my memory recalled the same kind of figures, but a quick google confirmed it, http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4481187.Swiss_Saints_deal_completed/
  4. can mods please merge the Chamberlain threads.
  5. it's going to be a looooooooooong summer
  6. nice vid but the soundtrack needs work.
  7. I think we can confidently say that we are not a selling club... how much have we brought in in player transfers since NC arrived? it will be interesting to see NC in action when dealing with high value sales - how would he have dealt with the Kenwyn situation? personally I see AOC going nowhere during the summer. He's just celebrated promotion (success) and is going to be playing first team football in a higher level and in a team that has ambition. Saints don't need to sell/can afford him. he has 2 years left on his contract so we don't need to panic sell for another 12 months & by then we might be in a position to offer premiership football ourselves. I think he/his dad/Saints will wait until December and see if we are challenging. If were not I think he will go. But, presuming he has preformed at the higher level his value will have increased, like it probably did when we won promotion.
  8. A couple of years ago, when a few girls in work were talking about Xfactor & who they wanted to win I said "I like the black girl, she has a good voice" and was told "you cant say that - it's offensive to Olu" I checked with Olu & he wasn't offended.
  9. found this thread on a search through the forum & thought you would like to know that O'Bama's Irish heritage came out during the American election, so it's not really news... however what is not mentioned (very much) is that his Irish heritage stems from wealthy protestants - I would not be that surprised if he went back a few more generations and found English routes (but that would probably not be as politically advantageous)... still he likes a pint and is doing well for himself so we will claim him as one of our own...
  10. i find #tags are a great way of following football when at work. most sites are blocked in my office, but if i google #saintsfc and click on the "realtime" option i can follow peoples tweets during the game.
  11. yeah, lost his place to a 16 year old.
  12. Great news, I'm delighted DC is staying. I wonder if it's another PAYP deal?
  13. I've heard that rumour before, never worked for me anytime I have had to book last minute
  14. as an outsider I think that it should be mentioned that successful teams sell out their ground regardless (within reason) of cost. e.g. towards the end of the season there was very little mention of the "ticket tax" and how much were people offered for a ticket for the Walsall game? However empty seats in a stadium = lost revenue. I would suggest a Ryanair style ticketing policy - book early & make a saving, pay on the day/within 2 weeks of the game & get stung.
  15. you're welcome, I'm surprised it wasn't posted sooner. The bbc wind me up, i can watch bbc tv & I presume a portion of my cable subscription goes to them but i can't watch any football on iplayer and they even advertise on the website. oh and they don't even have the courtesy to put cloud/rain/sun symbols over Ireland on their weather reports.

  17. i think if he hadn't been part of today's celebrations there would be more chance that he would be off in the summer.
  18. i've not been to a L1 game and most who have posted on this thread have been to more Saints games this season than I have been in my life. but i have still been walking around & humming OWTS with a smile across my face over the last few days. I love SAINTS & this is the best I have felt about SAINTS since Cardiff (maybe even better). Thanks to all who have supported the team in person, you did us proud & thanks to all who posted opinions on here, from these (mainly) I have formed my own - the "for those at the game" threads. Enjoy the weekend long party, I wish I was there.
  19. I was going to ask for a poll for us Saints who don't get to go to games, but I from reading the thread i don't think the result would be that different. Fonte would get my vote. I'm not trying to be popular, just basing it on what I have read/seen on tv/saintsplayer over the season. Last Election I did not meet one politician but still managed to come to a decision based on information available to me.
  20. had a read of http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=90461 http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=90406 http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=90442 summery.. they are not too fond of us and will point out Saints fans in the home end (there's history)... there team is sh@gged.
  21. Interesting reading. apparently we are bompey's traditional rival and they are our third rival (following Skates & Spuds).
  22. bristol fans are not very confident http://www.brfcforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/96364-southampton-match-thread-preview/page__st__20
