  1. i'd be stunned if he didn't end up at Limavady United - that offer seems too good to refuse.

  5. I raise you this idiot.
  6. I'd be happy with 7th/fighting for a playoff spot. playoff's are achievable.
  7. if he's not good enough for a top 2 spl club yes, provided his wage demands were realistic & he was willing to join the squad I'd give him a chance.
  8. but when should we do that? if we are going to sign players on prem wages, should we not wait until our income improves & we are in the prem? I'm all for bringing in better players, but after our great start to the season & our transfer activity over the last 2 seasons, I am happy for NA/NC to find the right player to sign the right contract. after all were probably not that many players away from a bloated squad, with no chance for youth to come through.
  9. I think that the OP probably realises this & is interested in what you think the club targets are, along with what you think the target should be.
  10. I think that the main target is a player for the number 5 shirt. following that aiming for top 6 at christmas. leading to an assessment of what is required to achieve promotion. a carling cup run would be nice. It's the one cup we have a (slim) chance of winning & it's a route to Europe. & would be another trophy in the cabinet. Personally I'd still be happy with 7th (-10th/fighting for top 6), content with mid table & disappointed with survival.
  11. punch won't play, it suits no one to have him cup tied.
  12. I really don't see the need for panic, the squad that has started this season is better than the one that finished last year. fair enough, we have missed out on one or two potential targets but this happens to every club. Everyone (including the club) knows that we need one or two players to complete our squad. it's important we bring in the right one or two. We don't want to panic buy, especially when we have players that cdaj when required. Over the last two years we have done good business in the loan/option to buy market, I expect this to continue & think that the window by no means ends on the last day of august..... what are the dates of the loan window?????? I have seen some on here (sorry, I don't take any heed of usernames) suggesting that if we don't improve the squad we will be fighting relegation. do these posters expect the squad to change straight away/before the end of the end of august? I expect 3/4 signings between now and the end of the season & still think that a good season will be if were fighting for a playoff place (although our unusual good start has me dreaming of a top 2 finish). all imho (don't get to go to games) of course.
  13. here's a Leicester forum's build up thread. not very confident about Saturday, I think we'll let one or two in... we'll just have to score more. will Matt Oakley get a game?
  14. sorry, can we have that phonetically please?
  15. i'd snap your hand off for 6th, even with the great start (what's the record btw?). this has not changed since the start of the season I'd still be happy with top 10/competing for the playoffs.
  16. obviously............. it's a QPR forum, I just thought some might be interested & i'd save them time by searching for it. any more news on this rumour?

  18. what most people (on here) thought we wanted at the beginning of the summer. from what i've read so far, I am happy with our progress.
  19. I've got the night rider tune! De Ridder, De Ridder, De Ridder.... De Ridder, De Ridder
  20. less room on the bench to bring youth through, a bad thing imho
  21. on the other hand a few goals/assists before Christmas will increase his chance of a move in January. If he shows he can make the step up to the championship he'll be a better prospect for a top 5 club. At that stage he will have 18 months left on his contract and Saints will be more likely to sell.
  22. good point, well made. here is the Coventry fans thoughts; http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/9725-Southampton-after-Juke!
