Leslie Charteris Posted 26 June, 2009 Share Posted 26 June, 2009 Yep, someone needs to put an actual, genuine cheque or money order for a substantial amount of cash into Mr. Fry's hand within the week or SFC is history.

Manchester, Lincoln, Norwich, Bristol, Birmingham, Coventry etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. Southampton 1885. It's unique, original, and provides a link to our heritage. Beer Engine Posted 27 June, 2009 Share Posted 27 June, 2009 One option for Fry is to take the existing club into next season in administration. He does have a statutory duty to try and rescue the club as a going concern if possible - and this duty could eventually realise his other duty which is to get as much for creditors as possible. He doesn't need to worry about existing debt. If he is satisfied that the club can break even on a day-to-day basis during next season (and this could be achieved by negotiating a mortgage holiday with Aviva and getting the top earning players off the books) then he could start selling season tickets on Monday and raise the money needed to pay the players and staff until gate receipts start to come in. Very true. In fact Coventry City was 11th hour and 59minutes i think. Worth remembering as we quietly go mad waiting for something to happen. Yeah, but as others have said, Coventry were bailed out one minute before going into administration, not one minute before liquidating. Big, big difference.
