If Pompey do go under....

.... what happens to their spot in the League?

do they push up to replace them all the way through the football pyramid?

Would Saints have an extra play off spot to aim for with the top 3 going up automatically, or would the two play off finalists both go up?

Or would they do it by one less team being relegated in each league?

I don't want to see Pompey fold, it might be funny for a while, because the banter would carry on, but it wouldn't last long before Pompey were forgotten and there was no banter at all.

Trouble is if they only relegate two teams from the Prem it leave the Championship one short, so they then have to relegate one team less... they can't promote one team less because that would leave the Prem one short... so then if they relegate one less that leaves League 1 short... and so on

touble for skates is, if they do go into administration, they won't be selling them as premiership side but CCC with small fan base.

Once in admin, with points deduction, no investor will be thinking they can keep them up

I think the Premiership just goes down to 19 teams for the season, with one less relegation spot. That seems most logical.

No fan deserves to see his club fold, not even our greatest rivals.

It would be terrible if the Skates ceased to exist. Pompey fans would end up supporting Brighton, and the Seagulls don't deserve that.

Mind, we might win back a few of of our fairweather fans.

I'm pretty sure point deductions dont apply to Prem teams. its only a FL thing and the FA dont have the same rules for the Prem.
