Cup Tied?

As far as I know no-one is cup-tied, I don't think any of our squad has played in the Qualifying rounds this season for any other team. Some of our loanees may not be allowed to play by their parent clubs, but that has nothing to do with being cup-tied per se. It may be of course that they want to avoid them being cup-tied in future rounds.

So, how many will you guys be bringing to the Mem on Friday night? I will be very surprised if the total attendance exceeds 7,500 to be honest. We have been crap since we beat you, and our defence is leaking goals left right and centre. Since our win at SMS, we have shipped 17 goals in five games! If Danny Coles misses out (and it looks like he will) than Lambert will have a bloody field day!

I wonder if Preston are thinking about taking Trotman back, hence why they don't want him to play in the FA Cup. Or maybe it's just a precaution in case they find themselves with loads of injuries in January and need him back just to fill a gap.

Or maybe they are making out they might want to keep him, knowing that we are interested, therefore trying to crank up the asking price?

Maybe it's because he's a saleable commodity and his value may not be quite so high if he is cup-tied?

So Perry or Thomas in at CB then. Which would people prefer? Thomas has the physical presence but Perry has the experience and could work better alongside a big CB like Jaidi.

If Thomas is fit, play him. I think Perry is too old and slow, 10 years ago he would've been a key player for us, but not now.

Why on earth wont Chelsea allow Mellis? Crazy

He is not really getting any game time, which surprises me as i think he is a very talented little player, his potential exceeds that of antonio.

I would imagine the chelsea backroom has noticed this and are probably looking for teams giving him minutes, after all this is probably why he was sent on loan.

Bit worried about Trotman not being allowed, may mean Preston wants him back. After all if he was one they were looking at selling to help them survive i would like to think saints were front of the Q.

Both very logical explanations.
