Window Cleaner Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Felicitations to the club for the sensible pricing and recognising that there's a difference between committing yourself in advance and just turning up on matchday if you've nothing better to do. I not sure if that's what it means, to me it reads all stands open but tiekts only available in restricted areas of Itche, Kingsland and Northam. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1894275,00.html
JRM Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 It is very poorly written and could mean they are the only blocks open (although doesn't say which) , it could mean the Chapel is closed, it certainly says Season ticket holders cannot have their own seats. I predict a crowd of about 12k for this, although if we play Luton I could see them bring a good 2500 down which might bump it up a bit.
StDunko Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Wow, cheap tickets for the FA Cup. I was expecting to pay full price. Don't we usually only reduce prices for the smaller cup competitions like the Carling Cup(and JPT this year). I hope we pull a good crowd in, I would hope at least 20K with those prices. Do we know if it is Saturday 3pm KO yet, as Poopey are drawn at home too?
brightspark Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 The prices are low because of the opposition. I could be wrong, although i'm sure a match against Pompey or Liverpool would cost around double that for entry...

Think the prices might have been £15 then aswell? I actually think £15 is a bit steep to watch us against either a League 2 or a Conference Premier side; £10-12 would have been closer to the mark IMO. Whitey Grandad Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Don't the prices have to be agreed with the opposition who get a percentage of the gate money?

The9 Posted 4 December, 2009 Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Don't the prices have to be agreed with the opposition who get a percentage of the gate money? Yep, and there's a limit on the lowest price the FA will accept for tickets in each round as well (which I'd guess was £10 for the 3rd Round, seeing as you can't get into a Conference South game for that, some places). Window Cleaner Posted 4 December, 2009 Author Share Posted 4 December, 2009 Don't the prices have to be agreed with the opposition who get a percentage of the gate money? Yes they do, but Luton and Rotherham would probably be OK with those prices. No point in agreeing £35 and getting 7 blokes and a dog in at the gate. the prices look similar to those Luton are asking for their replay with Rotherham

Indeed, I've just found it: i. Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be: In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00 ii.A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The Away Club's spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed by both clubs. iii.The price for admission for children and senior citizens must be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. Fair enough then if them's the rules. Think the MK Dons game a few years ago might have been 2nd round?

I think the FA ran an initiative a couple of seasons ago where x number of selected games in some round were £10 a ticket rather than the official minimum rate. So they might do that again. This season was the first time we played in the 1st and 2nd round in ages.
