Who would we like up/down?

Leeds, Charlton, Millwall, Swindon, Huddersfield?

 

Me, I'd like to wave goodbye to Leeds and Huddersfield - the rest I can get to in around an hour or so!! (Although I go a bit easier down the M4 now since I was nicked...)

Milwall and Leeds up, can't stand going to Milwall away and Leeds will be a massive test next season.

 

As for teams coming into our division - Hopefully Palace join Plymouth and Posh then from League Two Hopefully Aldershot win the play offs.

I am a little worried about Charlton, if they keep their squad together and sign a 30+ goal striker they would be a really strong side.

I'd be more worried about having Millwall and Huddersfield in this division next year. Both clubs are relatively financially sound with good managers, I can only see more of the same from them if they're still down here. Leeds and Charlton are both financially overstretched for this level, and both clubs would probably sack their managers if they don't go up leading to some turmoil. I think the recession is really going to bite football clubs a lot harder next season as this season's budget's would probably have been agreed with the bank/lenders when they were still favourable to that sort of thing. As we've already seen Ince has walked out on MK Dons due to their cost-cutting next season, and I'm sure the Carlisle manager was saying there would be similar cutbacks for them next year. I have a feeling Leeds would suffer the most from not going up, they're still paying all those debts they agreed to from when they came out of administration, and I bet they didn't budget to be in this league for so long. Combined with losing Beckford and Grayson, they would probably struggle even more next year to get automatic promotion. Fortunately we don't have to worry about money Just my opinion though, I could be completley wrong!

**** being worried. Am I the only one thinking i'll be bored of League One next season unless it has some decent teams in it? Really hope Swindon and Millwall go up. Desperate to keep Leeds down here and beat them next season. Swindon are nothing special and realistically it is between Millwall and Leeds for the automatic promotion spot.

Swindon did the double over us so they cant be that bad. Leeds and charlton or Swindon for me

I want as easy a go of it next season as we can possibly get. Ge Leeds and Charlton ou of our way his season as if they're here next season they'll prob strengthen and be a bit tougher.

if we had our 10 points bk we'd only be just behind leeds... and we had a shocking start to the season. im just glad norwich are gone, we should win the league with them not in it! leeds would b our biggest challengers if they stayed down so if they go up it should be easier... regardless of who goes up or down are team can win the league next season me thinks

It would be good to get Leeds out of the way, along with Norwich that's 2 of the strongest teams out of the league straight away.

 

I'd pick Millwall to go up in the playoffs, i think they could still be as strong next year if they stay down. Charlton are a funny one, if they stay down i can see them losing quite a few of their ''big'' players as there was talk of them going into admin not so long ago.

 

I think coming down, obviously plymouth/pboro - but it's the toss up between Palace and Wednesday, i'm not sure who i'd prefer tbh - both decent sized clubs, who will possibly be under new ownership with a bit of money.

Don't really care, we are going to win the League next season. In some ways it would be good to be rid of Swindon as they beat us twice, but it would be too embarrassing at work with them a division above us, and besides, its an easy away game for me (as long as we don't play as badly as this season). Hope Aldershot get promoted.

I agree - the more decent teams in the division the better. I want teams who can challenge us, teams with stature and resources. For personal reasons I really want to thrash Charlton as well.
