Called the Megastore this morning, was told end of September. Bit longer than the 6 weeks been touted, but at least the end is in sight.

Thought some of you might like to know.

Since a few people are starting to indicate they feel the shirt is a jinx, I would be curious to know if anyone has fallen foul to a daft accident whilst wearing one.

Just a point about these shirts - nice as they are and regardless of how many we sell, they are not particularly good to see against a crowd and empty seats which are also mainly white.

Anyone remember Sir Clive's comments when he was here about peripheral vision etc and shirt colour. For me the shirts don't help the players much. Now a team in 'steward orange' would perform better but probably wouldnt sell so many shirts.

So NC seems to have put non-footballing matters first once again. Down with NC.

Every team has hundreds of people wearing the kit in the crowd, it's a total non-factor.

The only time I've ever seen it an issue was at Staplewood a couple of years ago, when I completely missed a Swansea player playing Saints reserves onside as he was wearing grey shirt and navy sleeves, white shorts and navy socks. That was purely because the backdrop was dark trees with the shorts and his pale legs sitting perfectly in line with the ad boards and his socks in line with the shadow under the ads/the pitch.

The peripheral vision thing is flawed as players are either looking at socks against the background of the pitch or a distant object in sharp focus rather than in the background - otherwise teams wouldn't wear fluorescent (steward) colours either.

I wore mine the day they went on sale whilst watching the first England game and by the end of the night it had a fag burn in it and was covered in JD & coke.... Not sure that has anything to do with a curse though. I was ****ed.

We have not played well in them shirts at all, only won one game i.e. Bournemouth, so they are jinxed and IMO look awful.

We've only played a handful of games! And I think the chairman, manager and players may have more to do with things on the pitch than the sihrt design. Plus, you can't judge if they look good, because as a weak-willed woman, you probably think flowers on them with pink shorts would look better.

Would that be the same Sir Clive who led his team to victory in a World Cup final whilst wearing a White kit?

I believe it is Grey shirts that make you difficult to see......ala Mancque.

Tried to get one for each of my daughters at the Orient game..told at least 6-8 weeks...

Thankfully mine was purchased by my son early doors....

Love the shirt but will be happy to go back to stripes sooner than later....

New shirt just does not suit my complexion...

You only have yourself to blame!!! Parents like you disgust me, its all too easy to shove a McDonalds in front of them isn't it eh?? far easier than cooking a well balanced healthy meal, oh and 5 a day does not mean 5 packets of crisps FFS !!!!!!

I burnt mine a bit with an iron. Went to the megastore yesterday as I was on SMS tour. Only size S.

You could always buy an England strip that has just been superseded and paint a sash on it. Think theyre going for like £10
