About time the Brighton boat was rocked a little Edited 29 January, 2011 by trousers
Saint Charlie Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 No, we have Lallana, AOC and N'Guessan to play out wide and he wants to play in he CCC hence the transfer request. Will either stay or go to Norwich.
GenevaSaint Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 An odd one, if he wants to get in the CCC just stay put based on current form
madruss Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 I just hope he leaves Brighton, it'll significantly weaken them and give us an advantage...unless we lose AOC that is
Tokyo-Saint Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 There has to be something more to it than wanting to play in the NPC as Brighton are heading that way. I would guess something personal, maybe a bust up with GP. If not, he is mental. Let's face it, he is not going to win up in his career is he? Is he sticks with Brighton for another few months, he would have a better than fair chance of a league winners medal.

Although, with Norwich, it could be a quick stepping stone to the Premier League.

sfc1976 Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 What a kick in the teeth for the fans. Top of the league, a very high chance of playing in the next level in a few months, a new stadium to go to, and the financial backing of this Bloom guy who apparently has just dished out 15m for new training facilities. I know player loyalty is terribly old fashioned these days, but if I were a Brighton fan this would sting a bit.
simo Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 He only signed a new contract a couple of months ago has his head turned and now wants out ? Not the sort of player we need imo !
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 Think we should make a bid for a couple of their players just to stir things up a bit more. Glenn Murray's out of contract at the end of the season and has handed a transfer request in before so he might be a good starting point!!

Contracts mean very little in football...except when players are absolutely crap or constantly injured.A recent or long term contract just means the club can ask more in the event of a transfer. saints-cris Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 Seesm a bit impatient of him, if he and Brighton carry on as they are he'll be in the Championship next season anyway with a club on the up. Whilst Norwich are doing well, hes a really popular figure with them. Seems silly to throw that away. Good player but wouldnt be interested in coming here. Dalek2003 Posted 29 January, 2011 Share Posted 29 January, 2011 Loyalty in football...your having a laugh. You have to get the best person at the time. Football is mercenary and personality should be ditched so that we appoint based on hard facts.
