Sorry but I may have missed the snippet about him but is he injured if so whats the problem and also when is Holmes likely to be fit again. I am really worried that we are down to our bare bones in midfield with injuries and we dont appear to have any width. Also is it today that LB goes back to court?

One defeat will not define our season, but the lack of getting more players in the transfer/loan windows could be a major mistake. Iam one of the few who called for more players to be brought in. If Fonte or RL get injured you can kiss goodbye to the Championship. We have no effective cover. it is all very well getting a kid in from Oldham but to rely on him or Gobern to make our midfield strong and effective is fanciful.

At the MK Dons game, Holmes said that he was hoping to be back in full training the following week (last week).

I agree with you. We are sailing too close to the rocks for my liking.

I thought I caught sight of him playing in the practice game on one of the build up videos, probably the one before the Rochdale game, seemed to be just young players and first team reserves though.

Realistically though there are no teams in this league who could cope with the injuries we have and still be competitve.

Harding, Richardson, Lallana, Chaimberlain, Scheiderlin. Of course we are going to be weakened with what it a fairly large injury list of quality players. You can only cover for so much.

Committed to Crown court June 8th, unconditional bail.

Helps the Saints, no doubt but does the Crown court mean that this is more serious than expected ??

If the magistrates feel they are unable to try the case (as they cannot impose a strong enough sentence) or LB is going not guilty then this is normal procedure. It doesn't necessarily mean that its more serious - LB may want his day in court as its better to be tried by proffessionals than your average magistrate.

Can't believe all the talk about 'forget promotion if Lambert or Fonte get injured'. We have depth. We have other goalscorers. We won at Orient without Lallana, Schneiderlin, Oxo and Stephens (OK admittedly Kelvin kept us in the game) which shows we are a squad to be reckoned with. Martin and Seaborne are good back up CBs and we have 4 strikers (Guly, Lambert, Connolly and Barnard to pick from). Promotion is not a foregone conclusion because there are a lot of teams in the mix and they are there on merit but I am sure we have that little bit extra to take us through to 2nd.
