Legod Third Coming

...For reminding me why I started supporting this club and why I still do.

Away trips to Adams Park to stand in the rain and watch a boring draw in the company of other real football fans are what every Manchester United and Chelsea fan alike should have to endure for at least 12 months in every ten years.

For, in the words of Miley Cyrus...

Ican almost see it.

That dream I'm dreaming, but

There's a voice inside my head saying

You'll never reach it

Every step I'm takin'

Every move I make

Feels lost with no direction,

My faith is shakin'

But I gotta keep tryin'

Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side

It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing

The chances I'm taking

Sometimes might knock me down, but

No I'm not breaking

I may not know it, but

These are the moments that

I'm gonna remember most

I've just gotta keep goin', and

I gotta be strong

Just keep pushing on, but

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side

It's the climb

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side

It's the climb

Keep on movin'

Keep climbin'

Keep faith baby

It's all about, it's all about

The climb

Keep the faith, keep your faith, woah

We might all strive for success, but we won't all make it. And football, like life, is a journey not a destination, to be enjoyed not matter the direction. Up the Saints!!

Gunna side step the Miley Cyrus part.. but the sentiment I agree with.. the true fans will go to the dross games on tuesday nights.. I love this club more despite all the turmoil weve been through. The ugly away days have only begun as im sure there will be plenty next season as well. Cant wait !

One of the best things about league 1 is it's made us bring in players who for the first time in years appear to appericate playing for saints. Players who have been down in the lower leagues for much of their careers and know being at southampton is a good place to be. Far better than teams of overpriced journeymen and forgieners that made up our teams for the last few years long may it continue.

Im not going to miss this league because.......

The away teams never bring more than a handful of fans.

The refs and linesmen are ****e.

Most grounds cant accommodate our traveling support.

We start in round one in most of the Cup competitions.

Bye ,bye League One.Thank God.

We wanna go home, we wanna go hoooooooooomee

League ones a **** hole

We wanna go home

In a nutshell.

League 1 was fun last year for a 1 off, but I really got bored of certain aspects of it this season. I don't need s**t refs, s**t pitches and s**t attendances to remind me why I love Saints.

I totally agree. One of the best things about this season is how most of our players (apart from one whose name rhymes with "truncheon") have worn the shirt with pride. Well done lads!

I think getting relegated to League 1 has been good for us all

When you see Walsall, a small club with no hope of ever making it to the PL, bringing 1700 fans to SMS desperately hoping they avoid the drop, you realise this is a League for proper football supporters

I think over the years we'd possibly forgotten how important the Saints was to us all, but the events of the past 2 years have almost re-awakened us

My head says League One is **** and on Saturday I shall stick two fingers up as I tell it to **** off and never come knocking on my door again.

My heart says I have actually loved it and shall, on Saturday offer it a wave as we pass on by and thank it for the memories for as of tomorrow, we bid you farewell.

I have really enjoyed League 1 we have won a trophy day out at Wembley won a promotion for the 1st time in 33 years been to some interesting grounds it has been a blast.

Mock all you want but league 1 is about proper real football fans no corporate nonsense or plastic fans just decent football people that support there local team.

I am glad we experienced League & also glad we are promtoted out of it but it has done us all more good than bad looking forward to seeing compete in the championship but frankly you can stick the prem up your arse football should be 3pm Saturday.

I really hope we can kick on & do a WBA bouncing between Championship & Prem must be exciting promotion every other season I could live with.

Really enjoyed League 1

I suppose it has been easier to enjoy Lge 1 as we will have gained 92 points (assume win tomorrow!) and scored over 80 goals along the way !

The championship will bring different challenges and undoubtedly be harder but coming to SMS to watch Leeds rather than Hartlepool or Poopey rather than Yeovil does tend to make the heart beat a little bit faster !

Bring it on........

I've enjoyed the third division much more than I expected to. As already mentioned, the fans that have continued to support the team come what may, are the real fans and it's encouraging that we have such a hard core. Magnificent.

The players also are proud to wear the shirt (apart from one).

But we had reached our lowest ebb, our confidence shot to pieces and the pendulum is swinging firmly in the other direction. Even though the Skates had the ascendency for a few years, we begin the new season in August on level pegging. But all things being equal with the continued support of the Liebherrs, we can be confident that we will continue our journey onwards and upwards, whereas they will continue their journey downwards towards oblivion.

The future's bright; the future's red and white.

Because we fell so low, when we are again back in the Premiership, success will taste all the sweeter.

I wish I could see some of it, but if I was back in the UK I am sure I would love the Championship. League 1 has been good to restore the confidence and rebuild the club (and of course, winning a trophy!). The standard of officials have been poor, so hopefully we will notice in improvement there next year. Although I want Saints in the Premiership....in its current format I really quite despise it and most of the player who play in it. The wage levels are obscene, there is very little loyalty between clubs and players. Hopefully by the time we get there the bubble may have burst and those who spend way above what they earn may have gone bust....

I am going to miss league one.

we have had some excellent away days to some great places / grounds we would never have got to do otherwise.

will have to get used to again being

in the 3rd round of the FA Cup automatically

no more JPT

having international weekends free

having away followings that fill the section at st marys (skates, Reading, Leeds, Brighton, maybe West Ham, big numbers from Millwall, Palace, Leicester, Derby, Forest, Cardiff, who knows we might even get 3200 Bournemouth coming to st marys again)

not looking forward to:

increased ticket prices
