'Arry Boy going to the Spuds is the only glimmer of sunshine in an otherwise rainy season ......... 'Arry jumps ship from the Skates .... his beloved Home ....... love it Now, can someone send Poortvliet an application form, and we can do the same as what Mandaric did to us .......... ART Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 Well, with Harry now out of the way, we are going to see Rupert's long term plan of a merger of Saints and Pompey move a step nearer. The facts of the situation and that Saints have a decent stadium make this an excellent proposition businesswise. With Gus Poyet available after being given the boot at Spuds, we could do far worse than draft him in to give support to the Double Dutch Dream team! INFLUENCED.COM Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 He will have only gone there if they promised him mega bucks to spend, so they will rise up the table and he will have been credited as their saviour oppose to the real saviour the chequebook !! It too suggests his spiritual home may be facing repossession
SW5 SAINT Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 Did we have a sell on clause? 15% of 5 mill would come in handy!!

It too suggests his spiritual home may be facing repossession Spurs must have a bit of folding at their disposition. They've sold Berbatov and Keane for over 50 million and probably not spent half of that.So they'll be plenty to wheel and deal with. Trouble with Spanish managers is that they don't know how to wheel and deal. It's something they don't get involved in in Spain, just make suggestions and leave it to the front office afterwards. Leicestersaint Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 I really do loathe redknapp. What a totally shameless self-absorbed useless self-publicising barrow boy.
Roman Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 If he manages to do to Spurs what he did to us, I'll be happy. A partnership of Levy and Redknapp seems as bizarrely unworkable as Lowe and Redknapp. But as Karl Marx once said (about the football-chairman-like Napoleon III), those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it. Window Cleaner Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 I, in my minority of one mode again, think Harry is a good manager but he has a style which cannot be cramped or restricted in any way shape or form; At the end of the day he probably comes out on the plus side of the transfer ledger but he has to do things his way. Try to put restraints on the cost or ethics of what he does and you'll get an unhappy, demotivated bunny. If you want the best out of Harry, don't cramp his style, pay up and fade into the background, that's what you need to do. Most football clubs lose money anyway, might as well get some success whilst losing it.
cf saint Posted 26 October, 2008 Share Posted 26 October, 2008 love the fact Storrie says..."apparently Spurs is one of the only clubs he would consider leaving for." Even the blue few must now realise the type of person he is. Storrie obviously does. Guess financially they must be in trouble...never mind Sad it needs something like this to improve the weekend... Now here's a hypothesis Sasha is supposed to be running PFC off his own bat, Dad's swans being singularly unwelcome. If his bank accounts were being monitored to see where his money comes from they might not be very flush just now. Anyway the arms trade isn't what it used to be,everybody is trying to muscle in on it and cut prices .
